So when do we get our money back?

Pretty sure I want a refund on this. I didn't $60 on a game to sit in a queue that does nothing for 15 minutes and then times you out and makes you start all over. I purchased the game through my console so if you could help me figure out how to get my money back that would be great.

Yeah... You can forget about that. It will take a class action lawsuit to get that to happen. And a class action lawsuit isn't happening

Step 1: Please get in line behind all of the PC players that have been paying for Beta for a year.

If the PC users cant get a refund for a year of abuse I'm sure nothing is happening for console users...

They don't force you to preorder or buy their game. Alot of developers lately are releasing games with flaws in it and they get fixed with updates. If you feel you want a refund, next time you think of preordering somethinng, DON'T.

You're right. Look at all those early release games on Steam. It's a joke.

Its amazing that you can buy Fallout 4 on steam for $60 already... no release date or game footage... and its the top seller yesterday.

Depends where he is and how he paid.

In the EU if he paid via credit card he is entitled to a no-quibble refund for up to 14 days from purchase.

The T&Cs that a company may insist you accept before entering in to a transaction with them can NOT trump those consumer rights.

Key to buying over the internet is to know your rights as defined by law and not those you are told you have by the person you are buying from.

Give it a week and you'll probably never see a que again.

MMO launches are always like this, and then it calms down and suddenly the problem goes away.

Actually it's not a simple problem to solve.

The obvious solution is to simply add more servers. But it's usually only the first week or two where this is an issue, when everyone has just got the game and wants to be playing all the time. After that it calms down, people are on less and more spread out and the problem essentially sorts itself out.

So buying and setting up a lot of expensive hardware (with a lot of potential to go wrong, even when installed by experts) is usually not worth the time, effort and the risk of causing a real problem (like losing several thousand players data during a server transfer). You can cut the cost by renting the servers, but then you double the work and the risk because they have to be set up and then removed shortly afterwards.

Honestly it's more accurate to say that over time MMO companies have concluded that the best solution for everyone involved, players included, is to just have a bit of patience, accept that the first few days are going to have queues.

    You basically have three options:

    1. Buy and maintain a server that can withhold the launch, but won't ever be at full capacity again, costing you way more than necessary on the long run
    2. Observe and quickly adjust needed volume by adding more servers / better hardware
    3. Rent servers for launch

Blizzard did the third thing for their Warlords of Draenor WOW addon. They rented like all available servers. Servers still crashed and had huge lag spikes for days or even weeks. And those guys have been doing this for over 10 years now.

You will never be able to have something this huge go smoothly at your first or second try.
I have approximate knowledge of many things.

Well, would you accept an interruption to you electricity supply because other people want to use electricity at the same time?

In fact do you know what happens to make sure just such a situation doesn't arise? The electricity generation companies have to have surplus capacity at ALL TIMES just to mitigate against sudden usage spikes.

The same is true of just about every other supply/demand transaction you can think of.

A significant number of consumers have been fooled by these arguments into thinking that the problems are unique to this industry and so a solution to that problem is hard to come by.

    It isn't.

We are being fobbed off with 2nd rate service at 1st rate prices and swallowing the BS excuses they give us.

We really should have more respect for ourselves.

You know that thing you sometimes get on account pages every so often when logging into account sites and the like, that ask you to agree to things, they have that angle covered if you can't agree to the one client/game side

Nah if he used a Credit Card he can get his money back in 3 days time.

A lot of people got refunds on BF4,GTAV, simply by contacting the CC company and having a charge back issued.

People act like if you buy a game you are locked out of any recourse. This simply is not true.

Also if you bought it from Gamestop or best buy you can take it back within 7 days PERIOD.

Youre complaining because an MMO is popular on day two of its Console Launch? Have you tried maybe logging in when its not so close to peak hours?

If youre upset with the login issues. You should definitely avoid this upcoming weekend. Its going to be far worse then now.

Why are people hating on the OP? A 15 minute queue is outrageous! I've been playing since the Beta in Feb 2014, and I've never had to wait in a queue like that ....EVER.

While I'm sure ZoS is swamped right now with the console launch and will smooth everything out eventually, at least let the affected players vent a little. Sheesh!

Just give it time, the game has been out for like not even 2 days.. Of course there's going to be lots of bugs and glitches, I'm sure within a few weeks to a couple of months the game will be smooth!!! I've noticed a few bugs myself and I've been stuck glitching against a door and not been able to move, but I wasn't annoyed because it's just came out and I was expecting things like that to happen! BE PATIENT!!!
