What a shocker!
Its too bad that Zenimax has treated the consoles life an after thought.
Its obvious that none of them ate console players.
Anyone who has ever used chat in a game, knows how it just doesn't work. You can't expect to have 4, much less 40 or 400 people talking at the same time to work.
All you get is teenagers screaming obscenities and dogs barking etc.
I had to listen to a couple talking about their vacation plans for 30 minutes.
Later, I listened to a guy try to teach his girlfriend how to play the game. Ugh.
Yeah, you can mute people, but having to do that is a pain.
Has Zenimax never heard of virtual keyboards?
Every time they justify their [snip] decision to not have text chat, they say its inconvenient to expect console players to hold a keyboard in their lap. [snip]
EVERY console MMO I've played (Everquest, DCUO, Defiance, FFXIV, Neverwinter) has had text chat, using a virtual keyboard.
For Zenimax to keep referring to physical keyboards in regards to console players, shows how out of touch they are with consoles.
I know they'll never add text chat for consoles. But they're making a big mistake. With so many console MMO'S out now, this is going to turn a lot of console players off.
