Thank you ZOS for keeping me away from that F2P game - Rift, that actually releases new content, fixes bugs, and has some sort of end game. Too bad I find Rift boring as all hell and cannot play Bosmers.

    Yeah, ESO!

You sound like me. I'm here because it's Tamriel and The Elder Scrolls. If this were any other franchise, I'd be gone.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

Thank you for finally releasing the console version.

Been waiting 2 years now, and our guild is finally picking up steam.

Please continue working on the spell crafting system, I love the concept and am willing to wait for it....But I'm a console peasant so I may be distracted by games in the meant time

    In general:
Thank you for the robust character creation menu, which allows me a nice degree of control when creating alts to rehash content after experiencing it all on my first character.
Thank you for allowing add ons in your game -- even if you severely limited the information they can access, the information that they do make available is a significant improvement over the darkness the default UI options leave the player in.
Thank you for your plans for the Justice System -- when the phase introducing player guards is finally implemented and the system is completed, it will make for an overall excellent addition to the game. Even if the present uncompleted format is not quite up to par, knowing what is to come makes the system more compelling to see in its eventual completion.

    In PvE:
Thank you for waiting to nerf Veteran content after my first character leveled, so that I at least got to experience this game as a nice fun challenge at one point.
Thank you for modifying Cyrodiil PvE so that as a player who does not participate in trials or dungeons there is finally an option available to me for roughly end-game levels of PvE content.
Thank you for putting PvE content in Cyrodiil in general -- the best part of this game is doing PvE content with the risk of being attacked by other players; successfully defending myself from ganks has been the best and most interesting experiences I have had in ESO while doing PvE.

    In PvP:
Thank you for supplying a system that is quite fun on the rare occurrence that it works.
Thank you for making Cyrodiil the PvP map -- spent hours in Elder Scrolls 4 reflecting on how much I would like to be able to fight other players in the countryside and you made it a reality.

Thank you @ZOS for creating such a graphically detailed world for us to run around in. The detailed graphics are what's keeping me playing this game and not moving on. Thank you for NOT being cartoony like some other game are. I don't want to play a cartoon game. I want to play a grisly detailed bloody game with nightmarish monsters to fight. You all have done a wonderful job in that regards. A little blood splatter from attacks would be a great addition to the game.

Thank you for all you do!

In all seriousness, after a 6 month break, I am thoroughly enjoying the game again. I came back to it the day it relaunched as 'TU' and have been playing every day since. Yes, there are flaws, and things I wish I could mod to make better, but overall, it's a good game.

    Good points for me are:

Customer service: Some people moan about this, but my experience has always been a positive one, with speedy resolutions to the few problems I needed to submit a ticket for. I find that politeness and a sprinkling of humour go a long way to making the person reading the ticket more receptive.

Gender and race equality: This is also extremely important and an issue close to the bone for me in so many ways. My first MMO was Tera, which started off fine, but quickly became massively female character and manga lolicon biased to the point of excluding those of us who prefer to play male characters. I particularly love that male styled and female styled clothes all work on both genders, allowing for a large amount of character customisation.

My main character has his nightmare! I know a lot of people don't like it, but my main character has ridden one since Morrowind, and is a large part of his personal lore. I modded nightmares into the games myself for him, and ZoS made one for this game right out of the blue! People may not like it, but this little old lady is thrilled!

In a similar vein, I love having cats for my khajiit characters to ride! I am something of a crazy cat lady in real life, and I love having yet more cats in my game!

I enjoy the varied environments and stunning vistas in the game. Sometimes I just have to stop while exploring to take a scenic screenie of a particularly pretty spot I find.

These good points make me keep playing, and the flaws are not enough to stop me. There are issues and things I don't care for as much, but those are not what this topic's creator was asking for.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

Thanks for a good game, which I actually enjoy a lot. Thanks for going B2P, as I haven't much time to play so P2P is just too expensive.

    Thank You ZOS for:
    1) The different armor/weapons appearances to allow my character to look how I want.
    2) Including all the races day 1 so as not to charge for them later down the road.
    3) Creating a massive lore accurate world.
    4) The guild system to allow a bigger community of friends/allies.
    5) Not making a WOW clone.

I appreciate the provisioning overhaul greatly. Although 1.6 may have confused me into oblivion (although it was great) I could quest well knowing I had space for everything I could pick up while questing :) And hey, now I'm no longer confused :)

I really enjoy the championship system. Even though I don't have many compared to others playing as long as me, I love the ability to help out my build a bit more, and LOVE that not all passives are geared toward combat. Some of us are just master gatherers and treasure hunters rather than emperors :)

    My turn now
For me personally top achievements are:
    1. Making TES game - online
    2. Packing it with tons of lore and funny connections to all other TES games.
    3. Preparing solid ground for massive expansion (at some point)
    4. Handling all unhappy 'kids' with patience
    5. Proving with update 6, that big changes can come at any point and will massively improve the game
    6. Leaving sub-based option to allow players constant support of future development
    7. Making crucial elements of the game really interesting:
    - questing is really fun and I'm going through all of them with every new character, picking new ways to finish quests, making my character good or bad ...really FUN part that many games forget about
    - combat system is really fun and open for tweaks/improvements (as we can see with fixes already)
    - skill system allowing mix&match with skills and abilities to create own play style (this keeps all creative players in all the time)
    - crafting is really simple and intuitive, not too expensive and one character can learn everything (always wanted this)
    - achievements in cool way are really rewarding and there's not too many 'grindy' ones
    - leaving PvP as war based part of the story with open zone to do whatever we want (sure, there's lag but show me game that was perfect in 1'st year)
    - game's evolution and future forms ...well update 6 with justice system and champion system proved, that at any point we can be really amazed with big change that opens so many new doors

I'm very happy with ESO as it was, as it is ...and the way it will be in the future. Looking forward to see everything else that awaits us

You want to thank someone, go find a teacher or a cop or a fireman and shake their hand. ZOS are a corporate entity - a business making money off you. They don't work to make you feel good, or have a nice day. They don't design games with you the gamer in mind. They try to make a product(s) that sells and hire expensive consultants to tell them the best strategy to do so.

What they think and how they feel is irrelevant - it's only how they act that counts.

But it you REALLY want to show your appreciation, make thorough bug reports, give detailed feedback and even write them letters/emails.

The only thing you'll achieve by paying them lip service here, is a few bumps to your forum rep..
Thank you ZOS for keeping me away from that F2P game - Rift, that actually releases new content, fixes bugs, and has some sort of end game. Too bad I find Rift boring as all hell and cannot play Bosmers.

you clearly didn't get the concept of this post...

and btw since you look like bunch of people complaining about 'code'/'coding' etc
do you know anything about it? do you know what needs to be fixed? how & why?
great! maybe apply for the job then? ;)
It's very easy to criticize people you don't know and their work you have no idea about just based purely on ONE product.
From your post I'm also assuming you have no idea how SOME game developing companies work since you ask them not to hire same people for Fallout 4.
Maybe you don't even know that Bethesda Game Studios and Zenimax Online Studios are separate parts of Zenimax Media inc. and have own assignments and separate projects. Research... doesn't hurt and saves your face from time to time ;)

    ...and just purely from me...
Maybe you should look at entertainment industry from the other perspective for a while.
Game developers, film directors, book authors etc ...they all give us something we enjoy (or not) and their work can be (and should be) from time to time appreciated.
I do value someones hard work in any form and if their result satisfies my needs for entertainment I am thankful for being able to enjoy it. Pretty simple, right?

P.S. I didn't create this post to lure out all cave trolls ready to spit in here same way they do with own mirror every morning.
Clearly stated 'Please post something POSITIVE, that you like about the game, changes that you think are GOOD and bring us better gaming experience.'
    as well as
no hate, complaints, sarcastic attempts & fakes, suggestions for future content etc.

What you've created, ZOS, is essentially the realization of a dream that my brother and I thought of many years ago. The idea that we could both exist in the same Tamriel. I'm not a "hardcore" gamer, but the TES series, as a whole, is one of the very few that I genuinely enjoy, look forward to play, and eagerly anticipate every single piece of news regarding its future.

The Elder Scrolls Online is, in my opinion, a good game. I know there's plenty on these forums to suggest otherwise. But I believe that what you read here is the frustrations from a community of people that feel at least as strongly as I do about this series, and for that reason want it to be as awesome as it can be. When it isn't, or when we feel it isn't, words are exchanged. But underneath it all, we say it because you have created something great and it is a pleasure to play.

In the end, though, customer satisfaction is really all that matters. It is everything. When people are dissatisfied, they're going to say nasty things. There are those people who want things changed in-game that would likely be game breaking or unbalanced, but for the most part what I read is pretty reasonable. Or at least, it stems from a reasonable idea and could be implemented in a reasonable way. Sadly, the implementation happens less often than many would like.

While I appreciate the intent of this thread, and those like it, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we are here posting because we are still here playing, though I know some people have left but still post. If what you made was truly crap, I don't think you'd have people nitpicking and pointing out things you could, and should, improve. I, for one, would just say, "Your game is s**t" and move on.

This thread is meant to be positive, though, so I shall end with this: You have in fact done a great job with ESO, and I really do appreciate all the hard work you've put in.

So my continued subscription since launch isn't enough thanks?

I believe ESO is the best effing mmorpg there is, today. And I want it to be better.

That's why I criticize the game - it can be so much better. I mentioned Rift. Rift squashes bugs, provides new content, provides dynamic content, has grouping tools we can only dream of in ESO. On paper, Trion does everything right. But I find it the most boring game in existence. Who wants to press 1-1-1-2-1-3-2-3-1-4-2-5-1-1-2-1-3 and sometimes SHIFT-1 and 7 just to play game?

Me? I want to roll-dodge and block. Then follow up with a heavy attack and finally my Jesus Beam! That's fun.

I want to play a bug-free ESO. I want an ESO with new content, grouping tools, dynamic content. I want an ESO where endgame doesn't involve gaming Champion Points.

And I really wouldn't mind it if the ESO community felt it had a voice in what we commit our time, money and energy to - playing ESO.

Thanks ZOS for creating ESO - now make it better.
