When will Shock Reach get buffed? ZOS please read :)

OutlandishMachine
Please read this for context: I never use crushing shock and force pulse. I can't stand the mixing of all three elements, when I can only bear to use one at a time. So, my only options for spells that have damage and can proc Crystal Fragments are Shock Pulsar (which I use) and Shock Reach (which I also use).
ZOS, why did you take away the disorient that came with Shock Reach? That was good and it made it almost worth the magicka cost, which is ridiculously high anyways. This new, tiny AoE that comes with Shock Reach is simply not working for us, and I was hoping that something is being done. If anybody can give me any insight to this, I'd really appreciate it :)

if shock Reach is critting for nearly 6k, Crushing shock can crit for 2.6-2.9kx3 meaning as much as 9-10k total.

thats why people use it. you will still get the shock hit for sorc proc, and you get fire dot and ice snare too.

But ya, Compaired to the Immobilize of Ice and the Massive Knockback of Fire... Shock has Literally nothing going for it.
I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

Elemental imbalance favors fire. Doubt that will change anytime soon.

You should be able to specialize for added benefit and should have access to all secondary effects with the element of your choosing (knockback/stun, etc - obviously burning would get replaced with frostbite, etc)
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Knew this would happen.
I know that CS and FP are really good, but its just my compulsiveness to stick to one element that messes with my brain, so there's really no way I can use it. I don't have OCD or anything, its just my brain being really choosy. But yes, you are right.

Yeah, see that's exactly what I think should be implemented. Or at least they should stop the terrible aoe that comes with shock reach, because that's pretty bad.

When I used a Lightning Staff on PTS as a low level Sorcerer my targets were set off balance add infinitum from the continual shock damage from various abilities. Being set off balance does not trigger CC-immunity and weakens the afflicted towards Heavy Attacks (double damage and knockdown effect). As you can imagine, groups of bandits and harpies were effectively rooted by the near constant knockdowns from my Heavy Attacks. Fun, yes. Overpowering, also yes.

Despite my tone (which may have come off a bit aggressive; sorry I was pretty tired), I do know that there are many alternatives to playing sorcerer in pvp, which I am currently exploring. I was just wondering if there are any plans in place to make shock spells a bit more worthwhile?

Could you explain please why don't you use Shock Clench then? It still has 17m range. Not so good, yet not so bad.

If it still had the disorient the new dot the skill has overall would instantly break it. That's likely why they changed it, that and the fact that shock damage is mainly aoe and you would end up breaking it quickly just by the nature of the weapon.

I suppose that's fair enough, but I do wish that I had some way to utilise shock damage well in pvp. The main thing about this topic is that all elemental imbalance favours fire. And that's what I want to point out. Also, you must admit that the AoE provided on shock reach is dismal. The radius is minimal, and the damage completely negligible.

    Not enough range.
