they would be invincible and unkillable, just as unrealistic as them not being seen in-game.

Yes but unkillable. what's the big deal?
@Davadin If I'm not mistaken, the main reason people wanted to kill children in Skyrim was this character: http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121021003044/elderscrolls/images/1/16/Nelkir.png

i wanted to beat the hell out of the children in skyrim. but of course thats frowned upon these days. wouldnt be able to stand it in ESO
"it takes a community to raise a child" - someone whose name i know not

The only two children that bothered me in Skyrim were Braith (she bullied my kids) and Nelkir (the little boy in the castle who told me to lick his father's boots for being a wanderer.)
The socially-acceptable course of action for dealing with them is as follows:
Kill Braith's parents, she will be sent to the orphanage and never bully your kids again.
Help the Stormcloaks overthrow Whiterun, the Jarl loses his position and his children will be forced to grow up in poverty most likely as wanderers.
Children were worthwhile addition to Skyrim -- Personally even got mods to let me adopt up to 6 children as well as mods adding other races of children to the game.
What's that? Khajiit are not allowed in the cities in your province?
Well, now the Dragonborn that you all love so much is raising Khajiit children in your cities. Deal with it.
Adamantly do not want child NPCs in ESO though. In Skyrim it worked because there was no one else playing who could be harassing them -- in ESO this sort of activity is too commonplace for me to feel comfortable with the prospect.
