My time playing this game and watching all the changes that happen to this game is part of a step program.
It is basically like a Monkey's Paw. Players play the game and start thinking of the things they want to change or add to make the game better for them. So they come to forums and complain to ZOS or give them ideas of what they want to change. These are the little wishes that ZOS(Monkey's Paw) will give.These changes can be nerf this class, give this class this skill, fix this skill, change this system, fix this system, add this to the game, take this from the game, etc. All the things we ask for always gets twisted and become a problem latter on down the road.
Examples: Nerf Light armor, raise soft caps, buff heavy armor, add more stamina skills and make stamina abilities stronger. These were some of the request of players. ZOS makes light armor weaker, got rid of soft caps, added spell resistance to heavy armor and it benefits also from the soft cap removal, change some class skills to stamina skills and made some stamina abilities stronger. There is a catch though, because light armor is weaker players rely on damage shields more to protect them which also make a lot skills not work right on damage shields.By get ridding of soft caps it open up more chances to buff your character which good but there were consequences. Players are now doing a lot more damage which increase the ttk in pvp.
Changing some the class skills to stamina ruin some magicka builds but it also help some stamina builds. Now that stamina skills got the benefit of the armor change, more stamina skills, and the removal softcaps. Stamina builds are doing even more damage than before. Now medium armor is consider the standard for doing more damage. These are just a few of some of the changes some are good for some players but are also bad for other players. There is always a price ZOS by them granting one of your wishes can cause problems for down the line.
