Seems to be a lot of us getting it - threads in General Discussion and PC Help forums but no solution or help from ZOS so far.

I received the error message "Webget request failed" when I update the game on my PC. What should I do?

There's also a whole Support Knowledge Base available. And if that doesn't help, you can email customer support, or call them.

    Jord.

As I burn down and murder, I know that God forgives.
'Spite all the things I've done my soul yet forever lives.
And all those caught in the shadow of my wings have cause to fear.
I swear on all I've done, no evil shall linger here.

Check to make sure that either Windows Defender is turned off or has an exception for the ESO.EXE file. Do the same for your anti-virus program. If you've done that, check the link provided by @Ageless above for more help.

I'm getting the http request failed error as well.

My man installed his without any problems.

I have disabled my anti-virus, added eso to my firewall.

Uninstalled the launcher, re-downloaded, and reinstalled.

Game refusing to download thru the launcher.

    Restarted computer twice.

    Still getting this error.

    Losing patience...

Go into your zenimax online folder, launcher folder. Create a desktop shortcut from the Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe or double click it. Run a repair from game options. Try launching after doing the fore mentioned.
