Shadow Knight Build - PvP / PvE Advice - NightBlade

many magika casters are templated like this-- myself included, as 2h weapon does give more spell damage than staff, and slightly less than DW.

To whoever said this build has no heals--- sap and swallow heal for a good amount, so yo really dont need a burst heal with resto staff especially if you are in small scale pvp. Also-- I dont play vampires--- but im guessing invigorating drain has some sort of heal component.

As far as a SK build-- well that my only issue with it IMO this is more of a necro/dark apostle type build due no true physical atks

IMO SK has originated in EQ1-- and is a hybrid that does a split amount of damage between physical and magic that equates to 100% of what either component would do as a stand alone.

some noteworthy skills that would make this more of a sk build

mass hysteria + cripple + shadow pet = psuedo fear kite

swallow + sap = life drains

Now im sure at some point with champ points the true hybrid spec will be > true pure-- so when and if that happens
one could add

execute + WB +all the magika the NB offers and we can grab out copious vats of orvelle reddenbacher and watch the spectacle of nerf happy posters litter these forums with nonsense!

I would love to add Executioner and Wrecking Blow and I am so very sad I can not just pick skills I like over having to pick what scales off of what. For example, I would love Ambush back as a Magicka, and a Magicka version of Executioner

Until a day happens that allows me to mix physical and magicka though I have to pick one of the other

Guessing you're going to a 1v1, non group build. Not a fan of refreshing path or cripple grasp. I'd go with dark cloak for DoT purges. I'd also go Sword n Board as your weapon is mainly for defense and buffs.

Ult wise - Bats is still one of the only reasons besides stealth speed for NBs to be vamps. I'd use it.

Switching to group build, i'd go Sword board, charge into another group when pushing, pop a couple of fears, light attacks, sap away, n bats, look for low health targets to impale. Oh, and never stop holding block!
