My only gripe, and I say only as I really like the spirit of competition in blackwater, it's the Emp farming.

I watched a fellow AD get his mates from opposing factions to line up like lemmings while he poured oil on them.

I've got a question and some follow-ups for the "veterans" who play in BB.

Have any of you made a non Battle Leveled hero that has better stats than a typical Battle Leveled hero?

Maybe not better in every single stat, but just significantly better overall (ie: a better mage than can be made from a Battle Leveled hero etc.)

I would like to know what it took to make as far as level, armor quality, and the number of CPs.

I'm not asking for your exact build, I just want to know what it would take to really twink out a hero in BB.

My NB is lvl 26. With battle leveling, my health is around 29k, magicka 18k, stamina 17k. Outside of Cyrodiil, those stats are: 5.4k health, 6.5k magicka and 9.2k stamina. It is not possible to make a non battle leveled character with better stats than a BL version. If you don't use battle leveling, you will be ***ed. Play around with weapon and spell damage stats, armor and regen. Everyone will have around 30k health, but no one hits very hard (except the siege holy ***).

Even if they were, it wouldn't matter. Once you're that high a level, you're on the clock and will vet out quickly. That makes the expense of gearing that character in such a manner not worth it.

The lowbies I've brought in I make two sets for -- one for level 20-40, one for 40+. They'll get a VR1 set for grinding to v14 after they vet out.

If you had all gold gear AND battle leveled it might put you at a small advantage, but ultimately it's not worth the effort or gold. Another thing to note is that only 5pc armor sets work, so that kind of makes things more simple. All of my gear is green with white enchants from merchants.

All gold gear/glyphs would do nothing extra for you if you turn on battle leveling. I know pretty much how it works but I'm trying to hear from people who have tried or theory crafted twink builds for BB that have battle leveling turned off to be better.

I'll have to check my lvl 44 NB again when I get home but I remember distinctly that his life, weapon power, stamina, and stamina regen did go way down, but his magicka, magicka regen, and spell power all went up when I turned off battle leveling. He only has blue crafted set armor with blue glyphs. Hence why I want to hear from people who took it a step further and went for more expensive pieces.

battle level has been increased to the point one cant play without it in the non-vet campaign. It USED to be one could take it off around level 45 and be better off for it, but now im not so sure, due to the changes.

so, in reality, it comes down to abilities, build, and skill, in making a "hero" in blackwater blade. this is not like the vet campaigns where people can make one shot wonder builds, or endless roll dodge/damage shield stack builds. everyone here is on an equal footing, and cant hide behind endless defense so to shine out, you need to make a really good build that stands out, and know how to use it.

weapons and gear dont really make a difference unless its bonuses from a crafted set, but everyone's stats are the same.

my stamina DK is level 45, he is still in.

after my AP exam tomorrow, I may get on(ends at 12PM) so about 1PMish or so. maybe earlier if the exam ends early.

im planning on getting on one of my NBs tomorrow, so once we dual I will be off.

So EP needs to get more organized and stop yelling at everyone else in zone chat. If everyone just stopped turning zone chat using zone chat to blame others for mistakes then we would be doing a lot better in the campaign.

Also, a lot of us in BWB, myself included, have only started playing since the subscription was dropped. This means that we do not have a year of experience like others do. So if we make a mistake such as sieging the front of a keep, rather than yell at whoever is doing it, you could simply say that it is easier to siege from the side or back of a keep.

Sounds like AD a few months ago, no tolerance for new players and lots of yelling in zone, it's much better now.

Lot's of long hard fought clean battles with DC and EP, great AP.

Not entirely sure how I feel now that the population in the campaign has had time to grow and settle at the current numbers. It is nice having more than one raid a faction and it is becoming more interesting with all these new players, but, any idea whose leading those DC tower farms? I can stand large groups/zerging, but those I feel belong in the vet campaigns only.

With the gradual realization by more vet players/guilds that BwB is a more enjoyable experience its likely going to get worse
