Let heads scale!

Please, be considerate and create some system for heads to scale with the rest of the body! I mean, sure, heads look proportional if you choose to play a tall muscular character (or a fatty), but if you choose skinny with small torso size, the head looks about 20-30% bigger than it should be (to the point the head is almost as big as whole torso, especially with wood elves that are naturally short).

(also while you're at it, add some actually usable, normal looking hairstyles, not everyone wants to play something that looks like a 50+yo frigid military officer or a glamour ***)

I would love to, but it's ridiculous to make a mage look like pro-wrestler or a petite assassin to look like she-male lifter.

This also shows that the difference between fully muscular top height widest torso and fully skinny minimum height minimum torso is not really much. But the head is the only part of body not scaling, which makes it look kinda weird.

People with anorexia appear to have giant heads. The solution is to stop making anorexic looking characters.

Why would it scale? The size of the skull does not change whether or not the person is fairly skinny or beefy.

I'm not one to say that a slider scale for this wouldn't be a bad thing, but within reason of course.

I don't think it looks particularly odd... but I'm all for options... We should have a "head scale" slider!

Thanks for adding the pic @ArRashid!

More like they should scale the Bosmer height, they are too short, I'm all for having diversity but not to the point of turning them into hobbits. Besides non of the lore books mention their height, in fact there are alot of Bosmer who are mentioned to be taller than some Imperials, even ZOS's new book " Tales Of Tamriel" shows the Bosmer of being at average height.
I wont make this into a long post, so all I'm suggesting is that they should increase the height of the Bosmer so their giant heads and tiny bodies wont look stupid when they wear monster helms and heavy armor.

Make them the shortest Elven race by matching them to the height of the shortest Human race, and in ESO the shortest Humans are the Redguards. That will allow the players who want to have short Bosmer to still be able to have that, but for those who want to have taller ones they should be able to have that too. More options is always good.

Frankly, from what I have seen of people, both large and small, heads generally don't scale in life. Petite people often do look like their head may be a bit too big for their bodies, big people often do look like their head might be a bit too small for their bodies...

Building a few characters for ESO, I did not find any looking unrealistic in any way. And yes, I have alts on both ends of the size slider.

Carry on ESO, you're doing fine... ;)

I'll have to agree with a "head size" slider option. It's very true that skull size in real life doesn't change depending on bodytype, but people have different sized heads regardless.

What bothers me more though, is that to me it looks like most of the different helmet sizes are all absolutely oversized compared to the head

    It's all about body proportions.
If you google it, you should notice that for adults, their total height is roughly 7.5 heads (for both male and female, just their total heigths are different).
That is true for a character in ESO if you set height slider to maximum, but since head size is static, if you set character height slider to minumum, the head now looks about 12% bigger than it should.
Choosing not to have broad shoulders (aka torso slider is not at or near maximum) makes it look even worse, as the head is now (in addition to being big) almost as wide as your shoulders. Which makes it look ridiculous.

And since all heads in game are "created equal" (in size at least), it looks more ridiculous on small races like bosmer and breton.

Think that's bad, wait until you place a Monster Helm on it...the proportions get even more askew!

Helmets all have a generic size so what you are asking if for the devs to re-write the code surrounding all helmets and heads, too which I say I'd rather have new content... and yes I managed to make another thread about my desire for new content ;)

Actually, I found Dunmer to be even worse than the Bosmer, to the point that every one I have made I have dropped because they looked angry at having such a big head. I only play female characters so maybe the men are different. I also object to the very humanoid body, especially the hands and feet, with the awkwardly set cat head on the Khajit.

Things in creation that help with the head is to make sure you adjust the neck size and to check the torso width. I have managed some pretty Bosmer by making sure the shoulders were wide no matter how short or slender the build otherwise.
