Scrolling text

Generally, I have the game sounds turned quite low, to be able to carry on conversations and such in real life, but I am missing the dialogue for NPCs during quests, and have no idea what was said. As I enjoy the lore in the game, this is disappointing.

Is there a way to see the dialogue as scrolling text on the screen somewhere? I don't necessarily want chat bubbles, just the text of the NPC conversations relevant to the quest (examples include "visions of the past" when ghosts appear, etc.).

I assume this must be possible, as otherwise the game would not be enjoyable for anyone with hearing impairment.

I've checked addons, and not seen anything there either.

Right click chat window, go to options and check "NPC"

And by chat window I mean the word "Chat" in the chat window

As Valymer stated,

Click on the gear in the upper-right corner of the chat box, opening the options menu.
Check NPC for the tabs you want and close.
