Search function works wonders mate. Here are the highlights:
- Yes we want them.
- ESO had them in early beta/alpha
- They couldn't get them right.
- They caused significant performance issues.
- Most of us assume we will get them at some point in the future.
Will cloaks, capes or even headbands and scarves be included into ESO in the future?
If so, how would this affect the game positively and negatively?
If not, how come they wouldn't be included? Haha we could add "hide ***" option. Premium players could get it I guess? Not sure :-)
Thanks so much fellow ESOers that are willing to chat with me!

Why are you so against capes?

Because capes would do nothing but strangle you, tangle up your feet, or otherwise get in the way, and were never worn in combat.

Yes and wearing helmets wit horns the size of a 2 year old child is realistic? (Primetive heavy helm)
Revenant_Spartan wrote: »Yes, but mostly made of lightweight material, not massive bone horns. And some designs were more ceremonial (the real gaudy ones). Not to mention this is a fantasy game. If you start pulling that, then we will really need to start scrutenising every aspect.
I'm pretty sure the cast of GoT, 300 and about 50% of fantasy movies in the last 30 years might be upset. Not to mention Darth Vader :P
Revenant_Spartan wrote: »Fair point. But would still like to see anyone fighting in the Primal helm they would be at a disadvantage from someone with a smaller more head-sized helm. The point is, capes and cloaks are something people want. It's a fantasy game and they are generally accepted in all variaties of fantasy games/story/shows alongside technically slightly less than practical armour and weapons. If you whine about cloaks, then let's start with tearing the oversized weapons appart and let's not even get started on the greatswords and battleaxes.
I actually hate tabards and capes.
Why every MMO has to have tabards and capes? Every-single-one.
There are other ways to identify yourself with a guild other than cliche tabards and bloody capes:
- War-Banners as I have linked above
- Mounted flags
- Guild emblems on mount armor
- Guild emblems on shields
- Guild emblems engraved/embroidered on armor (on the back or front with different variations)
Seriously. Stop with that tabard and cape thing, try for once doing something different.
