Would you like a transmog option for armour/weapons?

I'm sick of finding great gear sets have only fugly styles (Footman, anyone?) I'd like to have an option to right-click on an item and convert it to one of the other racial styles I know. This should have been in from day one. Can we get ZOS to make this a reality?

Yes, with one caveat: I don't want it as a "clickable."

If we have transmog options, it should require some sort of crafting material/crafting action. It can be a feature that's unlocked after you reach a certain skill level in the respective skill lines. But definitely don't want to make it a clickable type thing, like the Imperial Armor transmog you get with Imperial Edition.

It would be fantastic if we had a similar wardrobe system akin to that in Rift.

I agee with this. It shouldn't be as easy as only having to right click to change style. It would need to either be built into the crafting system OR the dye station system. For instance adding in a armor tab at the dye stations to change style. However, I don't think it should be free. Requiring a material or something would be an idea as stated above. I definitely think this should be a option in the game.

That's an even better idea. Maybe unlock a passive then require the racial stone, then do it as a crafting station :)

Yeah, pretty much this. Make it a crafting passive that you have to unlock - maybe it requires your crafting skill to be at level 45 or 50 so that only the best crafters can do it. Make it a new option at crafting stations, and it requires the appropriate racial stone, and maybe even the appropriate mats as if you were going to be crafting that type of item at that level.

Heck, for that matter I'd like to see the ability to change the trait on an item through a similar system.

Yes, but I detest when people call it "transmog" thinking that is the only term. That is actually term used only in World of Warcraft, short for "Transmogrification". I do not want WoW terms spreading to other MMO's, so at the least call it "armor appearance change", "appearance slots", "armor transform", or anything else really.

EDIT: I voted Yes, but for some reason it's not showing up on my reply.

I had no idea that term was used in WoW, but it's the term I would use. It's a term that's been around far, far longer than WoW has been around.

Yes, I would love to have this as an option. Ever since I got the Stygian helmet it hasn't come off! As a result I take a gear level hit (since max is VR 12) and also lose an armor set perk. At the end of the day I'm happy that style is in the game so I can rock my ancient Nord, but would be outstanding if I could transmog to further optimize my build.

No simple click, not too easy,

    For example:
A master crafter has to learn to draw the magic soul out of the set bonus into for example a crystal

Craft a new piece of the same level and weight but now with the desired style

Perform a ritual to blend the magic soul of the crystal into the newly crafted piece

I'm alright with needing the crafting stone/knowledge of that style to transmodify something but if it required mats as well, it would be no different than just crafting a new set, which sort of defeats the purpose.

I also don't approve of it being something that you need to have a certain level of crafting to actually be able to do. You already need to be a maxed level crafter to learn half the unique styles anyway so it's not like a limiter isn't already in place to determine what you can actually transmogrify with that a system like that.
