Does anyone ever, zone into a place and they're like halfway in the ground and cannot move for like 4 seconds??
Also, does anyone's game ever freeze up?

This stuff keeps happening to me and its... Very annoying, I haven't played a game in so long that does weird stuff like this. Please fix if its not just my problem.

I cant edit the first post..

Another VERY ANNOYING bug is when I go someplace on horse really fast. When I get off horse.. Loading Screen, ports me someplace. Followed by ANOTHER loading screen back to where I was.

Normally happens when I leave the Refuge, move super fast that I bypass the loading screen, but when I finally get off horse. I'm immediately TACKLED by 2 back to back loading screens.

    Super annoying.
Yes all of this is serious.

You can edit the first post in a thread, the cog-wheel is to the right of the thread's subject line and not in the first post's box as is the case for replies.

I see momentary pauses sometimes when zoning, but not as long as 4 seconds. The loading screens that happen in zone are usually caused by server-overload, I see them from time to time but I've never seen the effect you mention nor anything directly related to riding a horse.

re the original post, yes and yes.
Game just froze for me again.... sorta terminal/endless "stutter"-type freeze, but never recovers, and no crash error message either. Requires hard closing the game client and relaunching to fix. This has been happening to me since 1.6 came out.
And yes, I also typically have to wait several seconds before I can move, after zoning into any of the larger cities (2nd zone and Belkarth). And yes, it's hardly worth using a horse in Elden Root, Belkarth or Mournhold - if the stutter doesn't hold you back, you'll just get loading screens to stop you, until the server has caught up with sending you info.
I can't tell if this (latter issue) is simply due to server-side overload (due to the high number of moving objects in those big cities), or if the game requires a better internet connection speed to run smoothly.
Just be patient and spend as much time questing away from the cities as possible, I guess.

ive recently upgraded from 2GB to 8GB ram. all my stuttering, stop-start lagginess when entering(loading) into zones, such as Rawkah or Eldenroot, has dissappeared.
the camera is still stuck to the ground until my character is fully instanced, for about 3 seconds.

my advice: upgrade your ram if anything less than 4GB, and don't be bothered about some inconsequential camera positioning for the initial time you are instancing(spawning), as you cannot do anything then anyway.

My laptop has 6GB DDR3 ram.

But ya, my game just froze and yes I was in a city. Its just so annoying, if consoles are going to be like this, it may sell a lot of games initially (because its an elder scrolls) but shortly after, people are going to quit because this is just unacceptable. Its very annoying.

ah. ok. not trying to be rude but, seriously, do you expect any real perfomance from a laptop?! even a mid-specced PC will wipe a laptop on performance. unless you're going to spend a LOT of money on the lappy. i would doubt very much that the consoles will perform as badly as a laptop.

my game is running uber-smooth now, and i'm running hardware i put together in 2009!

I don't expect the game to run uber smooth.
I also don't expect to be crashing in middle of nowhere due to nothing spectacular happening.

I run the game at lowest settings, that way it does run 'uber smooth' just with bad graphics.

I've played games where the computer isn't good enough to run the game, such as Everquest (came out and it was pretty much a beast compared to most computers). I know all about having bad graphics card and when you turn you literally lag due to not meeting the specs AND about not having enough RAM and getting Virtual memory error and a legit crash to desktop rather than the one we see in this game, where it just crashes for literally no reason at all.

This game, I turn, I do everything 'smoothly', I can even run medium settings if I want too, but I don't want my laptop to overheat.

I play GW2 smoothly, and that game, never crashed. It's not just 1 or 2 people crashing in this game, its a whole slew of people, has very little to do with there computers. Goto the PC Technical Support, and you see a whole bunch of topics about crashing, and that crazy long loading screen.

GW2 after a big patch, you enter the game, wait like 10 seconds minimum and your IN. This game, after a big patch, everybody talks about the 5 mins or so wait. That's just crazy. That's like 1990s type waiting screens.

Also that zone load, how funky it is, also 1990s type. I haven't played a game in a long time that when you enter a 'new zone' that it loads funky. Heck I don't think EQ2 loads that funky or EQ.
