Rare Motifs in the Crown Store

I was disappointed to find rare motifs in the Crown Store today. It seems that this store is cutting into the in game profits of subscribers. How many hours have we spent trudging through dwemer delves searching every container for one rare motif - either to use or sell for profit in the guild stores, but along comes the Crown store effectively printing money and disrupting the in-game economy for their own actual monetary gain. What's next, Crown bought nirncrux for no effort? Instant level 50 potions - oh oh I know an Emperor costume for $20 bucks for anyone, even if they've never stepped foot in Cyrodil.

I love this game, been playing since beta and don't plan on leaving - but you've taken food out of my characters mouths by opening a black market for rare motifs that we cannot complete with or participate in. But hey at least there still aren't any dragon-mounts and unicorn heads - though the jester came fairly close to crossing that line.

Hard work should count for something, effort should be profitable, time is money etc... let's keep that in mind in the future.

meh at least they aren't selling legendary weapons through the crown store, that you can only modify with items from the crown store....
or the auto level option... :S
If they keep the store at about the level it is now I think its alright over all. Still haven't seen an Imp motif drop- seen a few for sale but haven't found one of my own yet.

I fully support an item store, but I have to agree that I was disappointed to see the motifs. They are intended to be rare, something to be achieved and be proud of. You have a good point. They repeat over and over about not wanting to hurt the economy (AH) and then they do this?

Pffffttttt... look at the prices.
At this price, I consider it decently implemented - and I certainly won't buy any of my crafters stuff from there unless I get really desperate for that one last motiv to complete the collection or something. Seems to me it'd be much easier to earn gold in game and then search the various guild stores anyhow...

I got in on early access because I prepurchased the basic online edition....and have been playing off an on since then.

In my first month, I found an Imperial motif book. (It was purple, not gold like it is now).....and nothing since then.

Got all the basic races on two of my three characters, so I'm more or less happy. The completionist in me wants to spend on them, but I'm going to be resolute in what my signature says about spending money. Vote with the wallet, let them know WHY you're voting with your wallet, and get results faster than just being vocal about things.
