$10-$30 depending on quality and size.

^This. Mind that I'm assuming new DLC will be equivalent to a zone.

Depends on the amount of content and aggregates and their potential use in time.

Say how much they are willing to pay without knowing that they would be paying not make much sense. In addition to a model like the present with free and membership users, the cost of microtransactions and dlc may vary without following any kind of judgment or logic as ultimately the costs are adapting to the needs of profit.

I think people need to differ between DLCs and Expansion packs. An expansion pack usually costs around 20-30 bucks and a DLC can not be more expansive than a full two year long lasting expansion.

Therefore I would guess a DLC at ESO costs as much as a DLC in other MMO´s or games, 10 - 15 bucks max. I am a bit worried by some players who posted here that they would pay 50 bucks or more for something like Craglorn. No offence guys, but this is the price for a full game or two! No way a simple DLC will cost that much. :o

On the other hand we know the price for the motif and its huge...

We also need to consider one thing here if we talk about prices. Some of us are from Australia, others from Canada, Europe or GB. If we factor in the rates and taxes, then what everyone has to pay will be different and expansion packs you can buy from vendors so you will choose the cheapest one, but DLC`s must be purchased in the shop, so ZOS will dictate the price.

You should have listed price ranges instead of absolutes.

I'd pay $35-40 for a DLC that included a zone like Craglorn with its quests and dungeons.

$50 is too high. $50 is the price of WoW's Warlords of Draenor xpac. That's much more content than a single zone like Craglorn.

$25 would be fine but ideally having it be 1500 crowns (equal to a months subscription) sounds best.

I like DLC... I think I bought everything down to the skins for Borderlands 2... For this game I wouldn't spend anything. I would just sub if they actually released content and from the looks of things by the time that happens I will be Alpha testing something and will have probably lost interest.

Already losing interest during the vet grind...

Nothing until Alliance War is more stable. The endless loading screens, only to get Error <<1>>; Those really grind my gears. Setting up siege that you buy only for you to not be able interact with said siege.... I could go on and on about the "little" things.

As for PvE; Dungeons to me are a one and done type of thing, very boring.

It entirely depends on whether I feel a DLC is worth my money or not, but it definitely should not be more than the price of the actual game (special promos/sales excluded).

Based on past 'events', decisions and deliveries by this company, I doubt there will be anything that will entice me to open my wallet any time soon so I voted for the least amount.

Nothing. Ever. I'm against DLC because to me, it's just a marketing ploy devised to shill the rubes out of hard earned cash. Make a game I want to play, and I'll pay you to play it. It's just that simple. Make it FUN, and I'll literally throw money at it. (when I can afford to, that is)

Don't make it fun, keep it grindy? No money from THIS rube, thankew.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

Based on how much console DLC usually costs, and therefore on how much I think people would pay for DLC on console, I don't think it should be more than 3000 Crowns. This is for a full zone; half-zones like Lower Craglorn shouldn't be any more than 2000 Crowns, whereas an "expansion" which included multiple zones and a separate Main Questline would be OK at 6000 Crowns.

Why is it that these polls never have the options I would choose?

Option 7: As little as possible and only as much as I would think appropriate. Point of reference being the above mentionen expansion packs for other games.

200hrs of /played are worth 30€, for me. That would be something between $35 and $40, depending on exchange rates.

one piece I KNOW people are willing to pay at least $49.99 for new content or an expansion....or this is your first game ever if not.

50$ for full expansion, sure. For single zone, not really.

DLC can be either...the poll doesn't really specify what we are voting for

Two questions...how much for DLC and how much for a zone

The OP needs to stop being childish.

DLC is the reason behind the Tamriel Unlimited subscription. So the price of the DLC is already there. If you are subscibed, you get access to any additional zones included in that subscription (as well as more crowns than you can spend)

If the real reason that he is making the post is that he thinks the price of a mount of a motif is too high, then dont buy them, if he thinks that Zenemax are going to charge for additional zones, then he needs to do some basic investigation before making childish polls and asking other people to do his htinking for him.

What? ZOS classes "DLC" specifically as new playable zones, which is what the OP is asking about. There is currently no DLC available, so OP is asking how much you would pay for it. How is that a childish question?

    Depends what the DLC is.
The term DLC is so broad you can't really tell. DLC can range from a few new things here and there to a huge expansion.
If it's a new map and content related to it i might consider paying $30, if it's something like a few new hats and a new nose and a barber shop, maybe $12-13 at best.
I have no idea why people would consider paying more for a DLC in this post.

I didnt vote... becuase of this.

For 30 days you will have unlimited access to all DLC when you subscribe. IF you pay for 3 months subscription then you will have 90 days.

So heres what I would do. Every summer, I buy 3 months worth of subscription. Play my ass off to the max and then wait next summer.

So thats about $45 per year. If i can't finish the DLC, well that means I still have content for the next year. If I do finish, then the new content will be like christmas in july!!!.Also as some of you say there may be a pvp portion, I will use the off time to build my character up to get ready for those 3 months.

Now of course this is just from the poor mans perspective. So you can disagree with me to the max.

Nothing. I feel entitled since I PAID to beta test this system for a year with little to no attention paid to a third of it.
The dlc content was said to be almost finished a full year ago, but has been held back so it can be released on the console did as dlc. I've already paid for it.

It's like ordering food at a restaurant and not getting it, but the manager says comeback tomorrow for it, and charges you for it. Now this place is pretty good so you figure it's worth paying for something with the promise it's gonna be better tomorrow.
So the next day you come back only to find he's now serving people for free and when you order the chefs newest dish, they charge you again. You paid yesterday, you tell them. Oh yeah, this is new you gotta pay now.
But you said my payment yesterday was for the food I got today.

Oh, no, you gotta pay, this is new stuff that we didn't in any way use the money you gave us yesterday to buy ingredients for, so we could charge you again for it today.. .no we would never do that... .

All depends on the content itself.
    • For a single new zone, no more than $10-$15.
    • For 1 new zone per alliance, $25-30 max.
    • Entire new set of zones (4 or more zones) $40-$50. It better be alot of content though.

EQ2 had a plan at one point to do small packs of new content I believe they referred to "Adventure Packs". They would sell them for $15 I believe (been a long time so going on foggy memory here). It was a cool concept but they only ever released a couple before scrapping the idea.

DC Universe Online sells their DLC for $9.99 and older DLC for $4.99. Their DLC comes with more content in one pack than ESO has had added since launch. Elder Scrolls Online DLC price points will really matter based off of their quality/bugs and play time but I doubt they will be worth much over the $25 price point.

The previous Elder Scrolls games, while yes they are different, will probably have some sort of influence on the pricing. The (Dawnguard/Dragonborn) are currently priced at $19.99 each and are absolutely LOADED with content. I highly doubt that ZOS will be able to mimic that kind of quality meets quantity in their packs.

I think the DLC is going to be $15 personally. If its any higher than $15, say $20 the non subs would just sub for the month to get access for $15 and burn though it and be done with it.
