Need help getting into the game (just purchased)

So I just bought the game but can't seem to get logged in. I purchased through steam once it's all done and patched I launched it, agreed to the ToS stuff and enter my account info but it says it's incorrect. So I hit F1 which launches the Zenimax site in my web browser, I enter my account info there and it logs me in no problem so I go back to the game and enter the exact same info but it won't accept it. I tried changing my password anyway, still won't accept it.

My current Zenimax account is back from the beta testing, I never actually played ESO during it's launch, do I need to create an entirely new account or something b/c I got the game on Steam?

    I don't use Steam so I may be wrong, but from what I've read on here ZOS accounts and Steam accounts are separate, ZOS or Valve (no one has said which AFAIK) won't allow ZOS accounts to link to Steam (many wanted that when ESO first appeared on Steam).

    If I'm right then that's why you're seeing this problem, your ZOS account doesn't have a full game registered to it: check Billing History to see what reg. codes are recorded for it.

    AFAIK there is no way to connect your Steam-bought copy to your original ZOS account.

    We see that you have been able to log in since posting this thread. Were you able to resolve your issue with your login information?
