The crux with daily or weekly quests is that you feel forced to do them.

I play a Beta of a game and every day a new daily pops. They don't take longer than 20-30 minutes, yet pressure you to log on and play. I criticized that in a recent Beta report, as playing should be voluntarily and not by force.

Caps, daily's etc. always leave a bad taste in my stomach, I just don't want to log on to do the same every day and if I skip it, I am behind already.

In my opinion, CP´s should be based on achievements in the game, things you can only do once. You can get a few CP for completing Cadwell, a few for entering a dungeon and beating the boss there, another for reaching max level, again another for unlocking a dye ... Playing and gaining, this is my philosophy. To grind and repeat isn't :(

    Downvote.

This would not be good at all, but I don't want to get into why.

Nope. But a CP at the end of each daily dungeon made with LFG seems much more logical.
They should push group-play, not solo-farming.

Here is what ZoS should do to re-design Champion Points:

    1. Remove Champion XP, and gaining Champion Points via XP entirely.
    2. Implement an "Account-level Daily CP Quest" concept.

    New system
    1. Change the Daily Veteran Undaunted Pledge (not normal pledge) to reward a Champion Point (in addition to regular XP for those not yet VR14)
    2. Add a new Daily Veteran-only PvP quest (so there is 1 PvE and 1 PvP) to reward a Champion Point (in addition to regular XP for those not yet VR14)
    3. Add a few more (1-3 more) solo Daily Vet-only quests which reward Champion Points (in addition to regular XP)
    - NOTE: these should be somewhat short, maybe 15-30 minutes tops, and solo not group.
    - Also, they can be pretty simple, like "Kill 25 monsters, harvest 25 resource nodes, and kill 3 bosses" as a single daily.

The goal would be to create roughly 5-10 Daily Vet quests which reward a Champion Point upon completion. All of these would be "account-level" dailies, meaning that, while you can repeat the quests themselves on as many characters as you want, you will only gain a CP for each such quest once per day for your entire account. i.e. you can't do the dailies on 5 chars and get 5 times the CPs.

If ZoS implements 5 Dailies: 3600/5 = 720 days (just under 2 years) to max the champion system
If they implement 10 Dailies: 3600/10 = 360 days (just under 1 year) to max the champion system

In addition, there could be some "one-time only" CP rewards. Obvious examples are:
    - Completing the Main Story Arc
    - Completing Cadwell's Silver
    - Completing Cadwell's Gold
    - Completing the Mage Guild's Quest line
    - Completing the Fighters Guild Quest line
    etc.

If there are around 5 of these, then at best you can get 40 CPs from them (5 * 8 characters).
If there are around 10 of these, then at best you can get 80 CPs from them (10 * 8 characters).

    Discuss.
TBH, I prefer the way the system is right now. I like just playing the game and get CP. Its not grinding to me since my focus is not getting CP but playing the game. Getting CP is just a bonus for me. With your idea it forces me to do dailies to get cp which I tried that and it was not fun since I do not have a good computer and playing dungeons with groups is "oblivion" for me.So your idea sounds lovely to some players but alas your idea would not work for me.

So, my idea works great for you, since I said they are solo-only and not groups, right?

Are people really that bad at reading?

Edit: OP has been seriously updated.
