This is a quote from the article linked above:

"And, you don’t have to pay full price for the game twice. For 14.99 EUR/12.99 GBP/ 20.00 AUS, eligible PC and Mac players will have the option to add a full, digital version of ESO on either the PS4 or the Xbox One with your character transfer(s), and another 30 days of included game time."

Considering the game is now buy-to-play, does that translate into 1500 crowns in lieu of 30 days of game time?

Dude I think that they got rid of that deal like last july or something. Im pretty sure you will have to pay full price for the console version (do you know any other buy to play games that dont do that?). ESO is just like a regular multi platform game now. You wouldnt get dark souls for discount if you already have a copy on pc for instance. And I dont even know if there is going to even be a crown store on xbox one... if anything it would be on the xbox one marketplace.

Hmm... what about the 500C for the 'box'? At least we'd be entitled to that I would think.

I think the answer is NO, based on this:

    What transfers: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26762/kw/crown transfer

The following aspects of a game account are not included with the transfer: in-game mail, guilds, friends list, ignore list, Trial leaderboard status, AvA leaderboard status, and crowns.

Players should make sure to retrieve all items from their in-game mail before purchasing the transfer, as items not yet retrieved will not be transferred.

EDIT - part 2 of the answer "NO" as only item #1 would apply but I doubt its considered a new purchase so at best 500 crowns. I read this as "NO" to 1500 and 500

    link - https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26358/kw/crowns
    1) As a new player: New players will be given a one-time gift of 500 crowns for buying the game and creating a game account.

    2) As a previous subscriber: If a player was an active subscriber when The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited launched, they would have received 500 crowns for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period they had been an active subscriber. In addition, they would have been automatically enrolled in ESO Plus for the remainder of their subscription period. They would have received the full benefits of membership, and 1500 crowns for each 30-day period remaining on their subscription. For example, if a player had 30 days or less remaining, they would have received 1500 crowns. If they had between 30 and 60 days remaining, they would have received 3000 crowns. 60 to 90 days, 4500 crowns.

    3) As a returning player: If a player previously played The Elder Scrolls Online, but they were no longer a subscriber, they would have received 500 crowns when they logged in for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period they were a subscriber.

    4) As an ESO Plus member: players receive 1500 crowns for every 30 day ESO Plus membership.

    5) Purchase Crown Packs: PC/Mac players can able to purchase crown packs from The Elder Scrolls Online PC/ Mac Store. Console players will be able to purchase crowns via the Xbox Store or PSN stores.

@NewBlacksmurf Honestly, ZOS could go either way with this. On one hand we're still getting 30 days of game time, because the game is B2P now of course. On the other, this was mentioned during a time when a subscription was required, which means they were basically offering up a free month of subscriber access, which these days equates to 1,500 crowns, along with all the other perks of an ESO Plus membership.

Given the wording of the statement, I would except them to grant 1,500 crowns and a month of ESO plus to those who choose to copy their characters over. If they didn't though, technically speaking they're not going against their word, so you can't really fault them for it.

The 30 days offer was going to be when they had a subscription. With there now being no requirement for subscription there is no need to give 30 days free. More recent posts about the transfer have not referred to the 30 days and they said in the original announcement they would provide further details about the transfer offer when it was finalised.

So my guess would be no they will not be giving people transferring 1500 crowns just for transferring. The crowns will be given to your console account if you purchase a sub for your console account. Would be interesting to know whether we get the 500 crowns again since we are purchasing the game again effectively with the $20 as a digital copy. I don't think that has been mentioned yet by ZOS.

I hope they give us a free month of ESO plus, from a marketing stand point it's worth doing. Losing that juicy 10% to xp, gold and the other two would be enough to make quite a few continue to sub.

So you're suggesting they will update the FAQ?
When I read it, and when I look in the forums on ZOS replies...its a "NO"
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/153603/character-or-account-copy-to-console-crowns-too
If you qualify and decide to take part in the console transfer, the following will be included in the transfer: characters (in the same state), items (equipped to characters, in the inventory, and in the bank).

Things that won't transfer are in-game mail, guilds, friends list, ignore list, Trial leaderboard status, AvA leaderboard status, and crowns. Be sure to retrieve all of your items from your mailbox before purchasing the transfer!
Hey there, @EJRose83. While crowns won't transfer, the content that you redeem with your crowns will transfer over to your console. So, for instance, if you redeem a mount or a costume with your crowns on PC/Mac prior to the transfer date, then that content will be copied along with your characters to your respective console.

That blog article is out-dated. For up-to-date information, you can check our searchable knowledge base.

As the game no longer requires a subscription to play, the transfer doesn't come with gametime. Or, it comes with unlimited gametime, depending on your perspective. :)
