Also i don't know if you've PvPed in some of these dungeons before, but it's really fun, easy to play with LoS, tricking your target into aggroing mobs etc

I'm theory, yea it's a great idea, but the queue thing is a big problem with it and makes it pretty useless during prime time. Honestly, I doubt our groups are even going to bother with it since we make good rates of AP without it. No need to risk not getting back into the campaign.

I like it, because it gets people to other parts of Cyrodiil. I hate it because now I have to spend time in PvE while I actually want to PvP.

Maybe because they are Delves...in Cyrodiil...

I wonder if they gave a Trial Timer bonus for taking a keep in Cyrodiil to be applied to the trials elsewhere if PvEers would try it. So far; I have not really seen anyone wanting to go to a delve every hour.

its not rediculas at all, i am enjoying the buff.
once an hour i gather myself, go to a cave and kill a boss, its not hurting anyone or anything at all, and for 1 full hour i gain more AP
the reason your angry and all bitter about it is cause you cant controll what the people in your group are doing and thier not obeying you, i have heard it in the group chat and your dislike of people leaving the pvp momentarily to kill a boss and be right back.
it realy angers you so you come to the forums and complain.
well i got news for you, some of us like and even love the buff because it is helping us move closer and closer to getting that rank 10 so we can purchase that self heal skill called "vigor"
i am very sory you hate it that others are happy from this but thats life.
the only thing about this that angers me is that it only lasts 1 hour, that should be 2 hours or even 4 hours instead of 1 because its not long enough for me to gain alot of ap before heading back to the boss inside of a cave.

Yes how dare we who are actually participating in alliance war activities and working our butts off leading groups, get frustrated by people that take precious group space and stray into a delve and let the rest of the group down by not helping with an alliance war objective.

I will say it again, this change creates more separatism in Cyrodiil. And this was a map that we were told would create groups and group objectives. I can go anywhere and do a delve. No desire to do one when I look at the map and see ep or ad attacking a DC keep.

I'm new to ESO, so sorry for stupid questions. At beginning of prime time for the American Continents, the server keeps showing full for the non vet BlackWater Blade but no one is around. Is everyone just logging into this PvP map to PvE? Battles are small, zone chat is dead, no battles are showing on the map and it extremely hard to find where a group is. If I log in during the Assuies prime time, the server is half full. The map shows battles everywhere, fights are just massive zergs, sieges have so much red on the ground it is impossible to stop for a second. It is a freaking blast compared to my prime time.
Do things get better on the Veteran Maps as I level up or can I expect the same? I've been getting AP repairing keeps, I went through about 60-80 kits last night. Does the AP just keep raising the more repairs I do and does this only last a hour?
    Thanks

Population of PvP campagins was reduced 2 or 3 times so far, so yes its propable that you dont see any aciton.

20% on an already good rate is huge. Of course the queue thing is a big problem, but once it's solved, this implementation will truly shine. It's these kinds of things that keep people motivated to spread out and do different things, reducing lag.

This has to be some kind of April Fool's joke. Why in Mara's name would killing a monster in a cave give you a 20% buff to AP gains for an hour?

Please revert this ridiculous change. Gaining more Alliance Points than someone else for doing something completely unrelated to the Alliance War is a travesty.

    [EDIT]Talking about http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/161781/

You do realize Cyrodiil is a PVP / PVE zone right? Fights happen everywhere, not just at keep seiges. I actually have better skirmish fights in the quest towns and even in dungeons. This is a very good idea to try to get more people to explore and create random enemy encounters.

the dungeons and towns quests are very good champ exp by the way. Now people can go clear a dungeon, get good champ exp, get an AP bonus and kill enemy players. then rinse and repeat or just get more AP from enemy kills while doing PVE.

i think this addition was a great idea, i even left the lag part of cyrodiil keep fights to try and find some pvp in the delves, and guess what i did. the tight confined space made taking on someone or 2 feel really epic and a nice change of pace from keep battles all the time.

If you dont go in a delve - you didnt have any AP boost yesterday, now you dont either. No problem. If you go into a delve you'll probably loose at least %20 of an hour not gaining AP. Again no problem. Besides, vamps in Cyrodiil delves give 2.5 times more XP than average Craglorn vamps, still no problem.
Is this a cosmetic to divert some attention. I believe so. There are 50+ cosmetic change since 2.0, priors failed to catch this much agro, so it is a success on ZoS behalf.

Its a waste of time, I was in a couple of dungeons today and they are empty as ever, yes sometimes you might find 1 or 2 PvE scrubs, if you're lucky, but all the travelling and "waiting for PvP skirmishes." Yeeaahh... no. I bet a lot of people in Cyrodiil arent even aware of this change, or they simply dont care.

Sure you get 20% more AP, but it takes 10-30 mins to: ride to dungeon, enter and clear dungeon, leave dungeon, 5 minute loading screen, ride back to a keep.

In that time you can also kill players in the open world and actually get good fights and AP.

This change will do little, if nothing. It wont spread people out. It wont do anything.

Nah, not a joke. I saw it for what it was immediately. Another seriously poor thought out idea on how to get players to spread out so lag is not noticeable.

Let me say it yet again ZOS this is how to clear the lag:

    1. Ban the guild/users of the exploit that creates it.
    2. Learn about the skill they are using to do it and wholely change this skill that was never useful before.
    3. Admit that as long as gankers exist, you will never get people to travel and attack with out major numbers.

Oh btw OP, the buff isnt really that great anyway, takes alot of effort to go get, and the time spent doing so does not offset the gain you could get from efficient AP farming.

I love it, on Chillrend a full raid of AD carrying the scroll of Chim ran into a delve to get their AP buff and apparently did not know that the scroll auto drops right before you enter.

Right. I was in a small group of 7 and we decided to do a delve near where we were at which was near AD territory. It was a blitz through pretty easily and we just found one lone AD looking at his map near where a boss spawn would be. Was not really very engaging PvP there. I can only imagine what a larger group pouring through one would look like.

On the plus side, it was nice to get a little loot and some gold for the quick stop.

This adds nothing to the game...

I visited several delves yesterday (only the entrances as I didn't wantt o queue up again) mostly behind enemy frontlines and guess what? Well, nothing happened... I never met a single person, so that's for everyone tryingt o tell us: "Hey, that's content added to Cyrodiil besides keep siege and such!" - No it's not...

On the other hand I am saying it's not worth it. As some already said here you have to ride to the delve, loading screen-zone in and out, find a boss in there (if you are lucky, most delves in Cyrodiil have f***d up spawn mechanics) and get to some action to use your AP buff.

Keeping my above said lines in mind I want to do a simple calculation:
    Base AP/ hour (assumption): 10k AP/h
Time spent getting the AP buff: ~15 minutes (as described above - not taking queue time into account)
AP/h including the buff: 12k AP/h (generous calculation as if you'd get AP right after you got the buff for 60 minutes)

So when I say you PvP 4 hours in total I get to this:
    12k AP * 4 - 25% = 48k AP - 25% = 36k AP including the buff
Explanation: -25% because you spend roughly 1 hour (4*15 minutes) to refresh the buff

Compared to 4 hours of PvP without getting the buff:
    10k AP * 4 = 40k AP unbuffed

So who wants to tell me it is worth to get the buff AP wise?
And please take into account that my calculation was generous... It may as well take you way longer than 15 minutes to refresh the buff every time due to infinite loading screen (aka unexpected game restart), queuing back into the campaign to get out of the delve etc. reducing the effectiveness of this buff even further.

So long story short: Yes, it's got to be a joke...

Instead of trying to add an insensitive for PVP players to PVE in Cyrodiil I would rather the focus be on getting Cyrodiil's stability and population caps back to to a level where PVE players can go in and risk doing PVE there, while PVP is happening (like when the game was released).

I want Cyrodiil to be the Low Security space of EVE Online where there is PVP and PVE happening at the same time in a big cat and mouse game, not to make all the PVP players take 10mins out from defending a keep so people can get more AP.

Also don't use AP as a carrot on the stick, it's bad enough that we see PVP stop for five minutes after every defence because people need that all important "def tick". Focus on PVP being the reward for PVP and PVE being the reward for PVE.

Also if the mechanic stays then add other ways to obtain it like running a Dolman, it still gets people away from the big areas, ignores the loading screen issues and plants a big "PVP can happen here" maker on the map when those chains come falling down.
