[Cat] Stamina NB - PvP 1vX

Hey!

thanks to taking away my lovely Surprise Attack, Ambush and the ability to ignore Harness as magicka build i switched to the Stamina side.
As you see, I´m testing a lot with new stuff like drinks compared to food or using full animation cancel or not, but i recorded some stuff anyway.

Suggestions etc. per PM, here in the thread, below my video or just ingame @Soulac

I make most of my dmg with full animation cancel which is not possible with lags.. so yes
Im the king of dodge! (better than shieldstacking tho)

Jesus Christ. Sorc is love, sorc is life and all that.... but I really feel like dusting off my v14 stamina nb after watching this.

Mines are half the key, I think. The other half is having some stamina recovery to survive fear on cooldown, I believe. Same applies fighting DKs with Petrify.

Most Sorcs go all out into magicka and then you see them in duels they be like: magicka never drops below 60%, lack of stamina get's them killed 9/10 times.

Withthe majority of incoming damage being Snipe, Crit Rush, Wrecking Blow these days, are there still Sorcs that use Harness? O.o

I find it a slot wasted, not used it since 1.4. I only use it in duels against magicka builds.

Are you one of them?

harness magicka has its place, as in it is basically a free shield and gives more mana back then its worth if you are hit by 3 magica attacks.

It's all a matter of choice I guess, but the only use I find is in duels where it simply replaces Hardened Ward when I'm fighting magicka builds. I'm not a big believer into shield stacking beyond using one shield and Healing Ward

Is the magicka return on spells actually worth the extra slot for you? I find I hardly ever run out of magicka. Either running out of stamina or damage bursts is what gets me killed 9/10 time. So in open PvP I replace it with Mines or Detonation both great skills in their own right.

3.2k Stamina Reg and 5pc Shadow Walker (works in cloak) since the new patch.
I switched cause my master dagger is kind of buggy, so i also reduced my weapondmg to 2.4k which is still enough.
Im not using Warrior Mundus.

My build is kind of balance right now, I have no stamina problems.
I have Mines on my Overload bar when I use that, and in duels I replace Overload with Atronach and Encase with Mines.
But you're sitll running shield/resto right, wich I don't see the point in anymore anyway.

Almost I have same build, but I use flying blade as I like it.

I wear 5 hunding and 4 ashen and 3 shadow and have 2.5k weapon damage (in cyrodill) but not as nearly stamina regen (only 900). How do you get it so high?

I also switched yesterday (since I dropped vamp) to 4 pieces hunding and 5 nights silence (and I could still kill people with it) and have then only 1.7k weapon damage and 1100 stam regen.

What sets are you using to have both weapon damage and stamina regen so high? ( I compensate regeneration by swallowing a lot of potions, but im tired of looking for ingredients when I want to PvP)

Edit: I have the thief mundus and all gear with divines, so I have around 74% chance of crit. Sadly there is no stamina regeneration mundus stone.

I get more kills from reflected meteors than I get on my own merit
S&B is seriously immense for open world PvP. More armor, more magicka, more block (for the hard CC hits), more set items to combine etc.

I seriously like it, it lacks in burst a bit and it's a fairly defensive set up, but the reflects catch a lot of people out, including decent duellists. The 4" stuns can be pretty brutal if you have no stamina to CC break.

It's slightly problematic against stamina builds because I lack the heavy attack channel on roll-dodging barrel c*nts XD

EDIT: We need to have a solid dueling session Elo, like 10-15 good fights. I kinda miss the long day dueling sessions on PTS, especially the last few days where all campaigns are laggy as feck and I can't get any joy.

Chose how many u want to use.
Also I run drinks, and a couple of points on the Champion-System.

In open PvP I run flying blade as well, at least I test it since a few days.

5.1k tooltip & 70% crit

But I could drop 300 Magicka Reg and something else for a tooltip of roughly 5.7k (weapon dmg of 3k)

I don't think that's worth it :P

Flying blade is fun. I used rapid strikes at first, but as a mistake I added flying dagger to my 1st hotbar. Haven't removed it since then. Good damage, snares and is ranged.

I use

Bar 1:

Flying blade
Surprise attack
Dark Cloak
Ambush
Lethal strike / piercing mark / mass hysteria / retreating maneuvers (depends on situation)
U: Soul harvest

Bar 2:

Lethal arrow / draining shot
Relentless Focus
resolving Vigor
camo hunter / shadow image
Double take
Flawless dawnbreaker / soul thether thing with healing

I would never remove my shadow image for a second again.
A few days ago i tested it once without it, but i missed it too much.. :P

I switched it once for the double shades. It was fun for trolling, sending 2 shades after people. But I missed my teleport shade. I love it in keeps when people chase me, I pop a shade and run behind some walls outside the keep and the follow and I pop back in.

I must admit I use it more rarely these days because it is on my buff bar. If on my first bar I will use it more often.

its in a slot i change out regularly for like mines, or entropy. i cant find a good reliable skill to stick in that slot that fits all situations.
