Getting Stuck On Mouse Cursor

A couple of people in a guild I'm in seem to be getting issues with their Mouse Cursor toggle, I'm not sure how widespread it is but I know of 3 cases just with us. It seems that it occurs every time a player uses the Chatbox, and when looting an object such as a barrel. I found that logging off fixes it for a short time, however it gets to become a pain when they need to keep doing that just to play the game properly.

We've also encountered issues when leaving the Outlaw Refuge, these range from a serious dip in FPS to the game crashing completely. It's happened to me a few times also, when it does happen it seems to be linked to how the guards behave when I've removed my large bounty.

I have had exact same problem. I have been unable to find what triggers it, but possibly opening map at the same time you are doing something else, like rising on/taking off a horse, or moving?

Once it triggers, the game behaves as if "enable in-game cursor" has been pressed. When it happens, I cannot use mouse to direct my character (it points in same direction), cannot attack, cannot use skills etc.

Pressing the "toggle in-game cursor" button (I had it on "." in settings) or mounting a horse will disable the ingame cursor for a moment, but after this has happened once, ANY kind of interaction where one uses any of the menus, types in chat, loots (with loot window) etc will cause the ingame cursor to turn on again. I got into a group doing a dungeon last night and it was unbelievable annoying to have to press an extra button every time I checked map, typed a response to my friends or looted.

To reiterate: the issue is that the in-game cursor gets stuck as enabled after one exists menus or game window of any kind (like loot).

Restarting the game entirely seems to clear it, but unfortunately I cannot say what triggers the bug.

Interestingly, this issue has not surfaced again, even though I played the entire day yesterday. Finding and rooting out such problems is really difficult.

Yeah, I just thought I'd shine some light on the situation, I don't think it's been fixed yet but I'm glad you're not having any other issues

This bug resurfaced again today... I still dont know what causes it. All I can do is restart the whole game and hope for the best.

this happens to me since patch 1.6 was installed. i searched everywhere and couldnt find any reference to it, since i use pinnacle with xbox360 wireless controller i even approched them ,for no avail.
i tried resetting all game bindings ,removed all addons, nothing helps.
to me it happens on random times, but always when i do the following : inventory access , or map access, or quick items menu, but not always.it can be ok for 2 hrs, and than i access inventory and bam, i'm stuck on cursor.
i'm happy to know i'm not the only one who has this..till now i thought i am.
since indeed the only way to fix this cursor is to log out and back in, i just got so tired of waking up from the sofa to the keyboard that i got a wireless mini keyboard just for that...

This bug pops up every couple of months, usually after a patch. I recall at least 3 other times this has happened before (one might have been during the beta).

I'm not sure if the old forum threads are still here, but if they are, a search should yield you some old posts.

Anyways, happened to me as well over the last few days and yes, it's annoying as hell ...

found this on old threads and will try it myself today, will notify if it fixes for me:

Apparently it is caused by using the "Buy Multiple" option at vendors. After that, it's bugged permanently until restarting entire client.

So I had this problem 9 months ago and could not find what was causing it. Just started playing again a few days ago and since yesterday I got this same problem again.
After reading this possible cause I thought: hey I did start buying multiple items from vendor when this problem started again!

Not buying multiple seems to fix it!! It is convenient to buy multiple, but not worth the bug!
Thanks a lot for sharing, made my day!

I finally saw where this bug triggered! I peeked into a backpack lying around in the tavern in hollow city in coldharbour. Then the cursor got stuck. So I think there are some bugged containers that cause this to happen. Full restart of the game fixes it, but its super annoying when it happens.

edit: actually now that you mention it, I did "buy multiple" at the tavern vendor before that. Maybe it is indeed caused by that. Im going to test this.

There is a buttonbind that you can enable for that. That way you can return the cursor with just one press a of a button. However, it doesn't prevent the cursor from getting stuck.

my friend, it's solved for me .i checked the old posts about this, and it all comes out to multiple items , if u buy them in taverns .i just deleted all the items like food and drinks that i bought ,removed them all from my favourites, relogin and all is ok, for almost a week now. just dont but multiple items at vendors no matter what.once u buy multiple item u trigger the bug and than it's just a question of time till u get that annoying cursor...try it and see.
