Non VR alts XP gain counts toward Champion Points

I've posted hits before, it's the only idea that makes sense but I admit it can only be implemented correctly if ZOS does several things.

    1. Remove VR levels
    2. Remove VR levels of mobs and lower their XP to be in line with level 50 mobs
    3. lower the amount of XP it takes to acquire a champion point. Making it take the amount of XP it takes to level from 49-50.

Once these are done a lower level alt will be able to earn some champion points (not many) by the time it reaches 50.

This change would only be good for the game as it:

    a) Doesn't make those players with VR 14 characters feel that they're are completely wasting their time leveling an alt.

    b) gives a starting point for new players to earn CP's.

    c) It gives the CP the illusion of not being such a grind and you'll be actively playing the game as you level up through the story while earning CP's.

There's no downside to this and no real counter argument unless you count semantics of what you believe the CP should be.

Yeah, I would tend to think if ZOS did this, the benefits would have to be nerfed since you can grind to 50/v1 in a few days already, imagine doing that and earning CPs the whole time, people would be maxed out in no time.

If this was still a petition, I would vote NO.

I do not feel any urge to be top end, actually you pointed the point that I want to reach.

Before 1.6 there is a sorc build that I really like with %60 crit at one day from 1.5 to 1.6 my crit rate gone down to %60 to %32, I only want to get that 90 CP and %12 crit passive and never hear anything about CP system anymore.
Then don't loose faith. 90 is not as far away as you think. Bite the bullet and grind, do the enlightened CP a day, it takes 20-30 minutes in V10 areas. I hate grinding as much as you probably do and still that is what I did. It feels good to be past the point and not giving shaits anymore on CP :)

Why? When you are playing on sub vet, you are building enlightenment, which makes CXP 4x faster on your vet. Which builds up for 12 days. Play an alt for a while, then play vet and clock the CXP while enlightened.

Also, non vet XP can be miniscule. For example, doing all of a level 10 zone might not even earn a fraction of a CP.

I don't buy people grinding up characters to 50 for CP as a counter argument to giving Non Vets the ability to earn CP.

One, players are already grinding to level up any ways.

Two, you'd have to reunlock all those AoE skills, and rediscover wayshrine unless you have a partner. So that's time loss against just grinding a VR10 spot.

Three, 1-50 worth is maybe 4-5 CP without enlightenment. But to the causally paced player, that's around 15CP, give or take, by the time they hit 50. Which is a whole lot better than 0.

Four, deletion limit. The truly dedicated grinders out there can earn twice the CP in the same amount of time it would take to get one more delete back. It's just not as viable a grinding method.

Indeed there is no valid reason that sub 50's can spend CP but not earn XP towards them. ZoS should've modeled the Champion System after Rift's Planar Attunement. That system worked perfectly.

Agreed, its strange that non vet exp doesn't apply and I for one would love to know why this isn't the case...

I think that, on the contrary, sub-50 toons shouldn't have access to CP at all and they should become available to that character once they hit V1.

I would disagree with the OP if there was any valid PvE content for max level vets to work on and make progress in the CS but there isn't. I currently have two characters that have completed silver/gold (and only got CP credit for one of them) so I have no content to earn CP with. I'm forced to level up yet another alt to V1 just to start earning CP at a reasonable rate but the 1-50 leveling with no CP gain is a huge waste of time.

I think once you have attained gold on your account any future 1-50 content should count towards CP. The XP amount for 1-50 isn't even nearly up to vet levels so I don't think it would cause some huge issue but at least it would be something. If this is how they expect people to earn XP for the CS they should give credit for all of it.

Like i said, while your VR is parked and you are playing a low level alt, your account is collecting enlightenment. That is virtually the same thing as getting CP for free, since it will allow your alt, once it hits VR, to earn one XP and get three XP for free on top of that.

You can accumulate up to 12 days of enlightenment this way. I did the same thing as you did, make a new DK alt and play that, and in 12 days he was vr1, and now he is earning CP like a champ because he is cashing in all the enlightenment that accumulated while he was a lowbie. I am VR2 now, and i still haven't run out of enlightenment (and i don't expect to until he is vr5 or so)

Exactly. That's one of the main things enlightenment is for. I can choose to play an alt for a few days, knowing that it is helping my total cp situation.

This is completely wrong, you gain Enlightenment whether you're on any of your Veteran Characters, on non-Vets or even offline entirely. There is absolutely no benefit to playing a sub Level 50 in regards to the Champion System with ZoS's current mechanic for both generating Enlightenment and Champion Points. If non-Vets can SPEND CP they should help to EARN CP.
