Yeah... Seriously. It's atrocious. Can't reset any groups or port anywhere without CONSTANT infinite load screen bugs. So deflating.

I was told that these loading screens only happened for a select few people and that addons were the culprit (*cough* b______t *cough*)....

Seriously, this is something that will never get fixed, just like the lag in cyrodil during peak hours will never get fixed. These are problems that have existed since early beta, and the devs don't even really talk about them despite the community asking for fixes ever since release.

According toZOS loading screens happen because the textures haven't loaded and you would be missing elements or even /"fall through the world" if you kept going.

As most of you likely know the commonality with loading screens, the in character/environment delays, the freezes, and the disconnects are probably not due to a single bug (although some individual bugs may make it much worse) but are likely the result of a broader issue with the code/severs trying to handle so many players logging in at once. If some of the most problematic coding issues/bugs contributing to this are resolved fewer people will experience problems and those that do will experience them less frequently, but they will never go away entirely for everyone all the time.

I don't mind getting one infinite loading screen every 10-20 hours of game play, or getting disconnected/a world freeze once in a blue moon when running the game at higher a graphics setting during in large battles in Cyrodiil on a busy night, because those things are bound to happen now and again. It's mildly annoying but it isn't too disruptive. But the frequency and severity of such issues since Patch 6/the increase in new/returning players are more than just mildly annoying.

God I SO hope you're wrong about the never being fixed thing. It just can't be! That will make me cry all of the tears ever slash die in a fit of fury.

I've tested every single thing there is, literally. Also with and without addons, dozens of times. Doesn't make any difference.
The difference makes the, sorry, f*cked up usersettings file which seems to be different from player to player after an update or a patch was released. After two damn weeks of trying and testing like crazy (and for which I paid for to actually PLAY the game and was not compensated!), I could figure out it was some certain lines in the usersettings file which were completely altered for no reason and made the game unplayable. By switching the file with an old one, it worked like normal again (except for loading interiors quickly).

Even better than this: during beta, many players didn't even HAVE the usersettings file in the first place (such as myself) although we've all downloaded the game from the same source. So all we could see was a constant blackscreen until one user here on the forum found out it was that file that was missing. How the hell can this happen at all? This file is daedrical cursed.

Btw, the endless loading screens at every door and corner (if you are lucky to get into the game at all, of course) and the lag in "Cyrodiil during peak hours" are two different things. Maybe it's not easy, if not even impossible, to fix the lag in general, but it is possible to fix the loading screens since it's just one simple file that is messed up. If the devs can't fix this or don't even know that there's something wrong with this file (only the Eight might know why), at least some players can. Personally, I could only compare, guess, think logical and try, but it worked. Other than the Customer Support which, after about half a dozen of mails forth and back about this topic, told me at last to upgrade my system. Which was not necessary at all, since I can play the game again after I figured out it was the usersettings file.

Not quite sure what your "coughs" mean, but I think I don't like that.

Why do you want to get past the loading screens? ZoS employees spent a lot of time creating that artwork, and you should be appreciative of their efforts. They work, and they slave, all day, over a hot computer, and what thanks do they get?
