Undaunted set pieces and their abysmal drop rates

I've been playing for two months almost every day with no drops, not from bosses nor gold chest. I mean no drops for my char (Blood spawn) i got a lost of others. Now I'm a bit demotivated and rarely do pledges, it became boring a bit.

I took a bit of a break after 1.6 dropped and heard that the shoulder piece drop rates were improved, but it doesn't seem so since I returned.

I guess I should start thinking about a build using the Undaunted Unweaver/Infiltrator sets (aka purple decons) because that's all I ever seem to get.

Basically if you haven't done ~100 gold pledge/vCOA runs, don't expect to have the monster set you want exactly how you want it traited/weighted. If you have done that many and are still looking, sorry RNG hates you! Here this may help

The rarity:power ratio of these keeps the game in check, if everyone had them it would be a cake walk more than it already is...

Yes I know, Ive run vet CoA about 15 times and never got the head. The shoulders do drop from gold pledges thats why I mentoined it.

I have also run vet COA about 20 times, not 1 helm drop. Doesn't seem fair. ZOS needs to find a balance between rarity and not having to labour to find a group willing to run, then running for weeks on end for a drop, and for players with not as much time as others its even more frustrating.

I also do the Gold key at least 4-5 times a week and have only 2 full sets now

With 1.6 I'm not even sure that most of the sets are worth the grind anymore.

It's not like you absolutely NEED monster sets anyway.
I'm running Vet14 Stam Build Nighblade and not using any monster sets at all.
Running completely on 5 quick serpent + 2 hunding's + 3 venomous serpent + 3 twice fanged snake.
Mounting in any monster set would just simply destroy my build and play style
...and I've got like 3 complete sets just sitting in my bank waiting for nothing really
I'm happy with damage, stats and abilities.
Just stop playing for some 'golden perfect build' ...in most cases it won't work for you anyway

Got three different shoulder pieces in the last week. Only one was the 'right' weight, but they were provided, nonetheless.

The drop rate (for shoulders) has gone up considerably.

HA you think trying to get the monster helms is bad?!? If you ever try going for the Vet dungeon Weapon sets then you have a right to complain. Monster helms are easy to get along with the shoulders. The drop rate on the set I am trying to get is .01%. Meaning I have to kill an average of 1100 main dungeon bosses (3 per instance, that is roughly 366 dungeon runs) to get a shot at one piece of the set I need.

I am halfway to my second piece, but hopefully I get it sooner than later.

The RNG in this game is horrible all around. It would be better if the loot was tailored to your specs, but it doesn't even do that.

Same here, upside is I dont know where to fit it in anyway. With my current set I get 2635 spell damage (buffed) so I really dont need the Valkyn set. Im very happy with the Engine Guardian set though, its great for sorcs in pvp.

Farming helms on my V14 templar, and not getting the one I want. (50+ runs)
Run 3 different vet instances on my V1 sorc and get a helm each time.
Random hates me. They need to add a token system, but they will not until they have more contents cause if we had the token system, everyone would have the helm\shoulders they want already and be complaining that there is nothing to do.

They keep us farming the same old contents as that is all there is to do in this game.

Today I finished my 35th darkshadecaverns run. And still didnt get a helmet. Yes I did it on veteran. What is up with that!? People who ran the dungeon with got the helmet twice on a day!? Can't imagine how long it will take me to get the shoulderpiece....

Less time than the helm probably.... just save up a months worth of keys and turn them in at the same time Boom should have several different shoulders for a few sets.

RNG gods either shine, or they do not. I've done vet pledges to level the undaunted skill-line only, so lets say i did 50 of them. 50 keys - i have 40 Shoulders. I get them nearly every time i turn in the key. RNG Gods Shine for me then. But hey, after 50 pledges i havent gotten any single helmet.

Every helm i got i literally spent days farming them. Skoria took 40-something runs. Darkshade - 20Ish, funny i got 2 in a row though and Spindle (Bloodspawn) was like 50 runs more or less. In total i have 4 helms since i randomly got 2 in a row off Darkshade. I literally deconstructed most of the bad-trait shoulders because i just keep getting them every time i turn in the key.
