Wierd problem with coming back

Hi All ..
So something strange. I bought ESO when it came out, then played for a couple of months and left. now that its gone to FTP i thought i would try it again. Downloaded the game, logged in.. and all i have is 1 level 1 toon . I chose the North American Server as thats where i am, and i doubt i made an EU character. I know i had a few characters.
maybe its simple but thought i would ask as i dont really want to have to start from scratch again. Thanks!!

✭I can't think of any reason other than your selected region how characters could 'disappear'. I know of no reports of characters being 'lost' in some way and given you had no problem logging back in it seems unlikely your account got stolen and someone deleted your characters.
It's a bit of a PITA but you may want to install the EU client (yes, it's not the same, it's an entirely duplicate installation, one day ZOS may be able to figure out a unified client for all regions, like all the other MMOs I play) to check that.
I guess it's unlikely you 'accidentally' used the EU server originally but right now I can't think of any other explanation. Hope your missing troops are found somewhere.
Open a ticket if you want to ask ZOS to look at it, but there's a 3-5 day delay in responses ATM.
