Idk where all this QQ is coming from.

I got 3 CP yesterday taking out enemy resources on my own in the hour that i was logged in.
The exp in cyrodiil is nice.
    Idk about the trials though.

that's wonderful but I don't pvp. I don't enjoy it. pve and pvp should be balanced. they increased trials xp finally, but they have already ninja rolled it back to what it was which is nothing. A whole Sanctum Ophidia completion=3%

I agree, it's rather embarassing that the endgamezone gives crap xp, theres like no point doing anything there.

    The Root Of The Problem
Why are people incapable of just playing the game instead of exploiting every potential avenue of cheap XP?
Because humans constantly and instinctively look for new and better ways of doing things, and relentlessly seek new opportunities for gaining advantages in all endeavors throughout our lives.

It's what makes us such a troublesome species. ;)

This is why we can't have nice things.

Why are people incapable of just playing the game instead of exploiting every potential avenue of cheap XP?

Because the end of the CP system is set to keep people grinding till 2018. If they would leave the grinds alone so people can grind to their hearts content and just focus on more content then perhaps we could have nice things, as it stands now the devs want the CP system to last longer then it needs to.

Present the bonus at the end of the instance, whether out of rez's or last boss dispatched.

If the XP's are worth the cost of 60+ soulgems (7200g), so be it.

Or it's meant to allow people to play the game without feeling the need to grind out every CP, since they don't make that much of a difference anyway.

But that would involve playing for, you know, fun.

Unfortunately a group of people in this game play with an overly competitive nature. This is more inline with a MOBA or similar game genre. It's why these people push so hard to be the best and find themselves bored easily and complaining there's no new content.

They then quit and move on to the next thing like locusts, living out a dull and trite existence.

LoL did it correctly in how to treat this mentality in that they are given nothing to work towards and are forced to play a single map over and over and over and over...

I swear I thought the exact same sentence. I posted yesterday about it and how wordswords it was to grind there when AA and Hel Ra are so easy to complete and how they wordswordsed it up for the rest of us. Cue /lockthread

I remeber when people whinned about adding more veteran Ranks because their yellow armor were "useless" and asked for a change. Now the whinning is about CP.

If they remove the CP then people will start whinning about "lack of progression".

Moral of the story, a certain percentage of people will always whine about something. The trick is to make sure it's not the majority of your base.

Once they have found a way to stop exploiters resetting the instance to farm the first trash mobs, I'm sure they will reinstate the 1100%. This would be doable by having a couple of restrictions on entry:
    • Only a group of 5+ can enter the instance
    • When the group enters, a lockout timer starts which prevents you from leaving to reset the instance and entering again. The timer is cleared when you kill the last boss so you aren't prevented from running the whole thing more than once.

Stop these silly suggestions. No artificial barriers are needed. There have been many posts about linking XP rewards to the boss kill. Problem solved.
Charming I'm sure. That would work fine for me, and I suggested it myself as well. But I was presenting an alternative solution that may address the issues that others have posted with that suggestion, particularly your own comment saying that some groups may not manage to defeat the boss, and Audigy's comment that some players may just skip all trash and only do bosses. It's also an alternative to the "daily" lockout that has been suggested, which locks out the exploiters but not the genuine raiders.

My suggestion has always been that XP rewards get linked to every boss and the most XP to the last boss. So a party that does not manage the last or 3rd boss will still get XP from the first two. If a party can't handle the first boss then they don't need to get rewarded for the trash mobs. You can kill trash mobs anywhere.

I still don't see any need for lockouts. Your suggestion is a complicated implementation effort that brings nothing to the table. What happens if somebody gets stuck and needs to port out? What happens if the leader decides to disband the party? What happens if one member needs to go and you need to start over with a new replacement? What if the dungeon is bugged? There are good and legit reasons to reset a dungeon that have nothing to do with exploits.

They don't have to think about this stuff at all. Just link XP rewards to bosses. Every intern can make a calculation for this.

they could go the SWTOR direction of lockouts....Lockout per boss

    for example:

    u have 4 bosses
    Boss 1
    Boss 2
    Boss 3
    Boss 4

    u kill Boss 1
well then you cant do Boss 1 till next week however if u leave u can do Boss 2 later

    Kill Boss 2
same thing you are locked out from boss 1 and 2 but u can do 3

    etc

    etc

so if u kill bosses 1-4 u are locked out from entire raid till the next week

NOTE: this is not JUST the SWTOR method....most MMOs have this Method

might prevent alot of grinding and exploits and etc

THO may make new QQ issues with the whiner VR14s that want to get ALL their gear in a week....

however this also has a possible chance at Equality Gearing ( everyone Gears pretty much the same )

again this is the usual Lockout for MMOs. if u wish to add plz...do so

I'm pretty certain they are going to hand out CP per vet level WHEN they are removed. V14's will get a hefty number of CP if I recall correctly.
I do realize, however, this does nothing for you at the moment and I sympathize.

I just don't understand why people think the GOAL of the GAME is to get 3600 asap.

They are rewards, little surprises, for doing things that you'd do any way.

Running some delves with some friends - "Oh - I have a point I can put into a passive now".

The kill quests in pvp will use up your enlightenment every day easily. I used to do a bit of grinding in pve but the reward of doing that vs pvping where you get xp and ap, which can be turned into gold, there's really no comparison.
