I got 3 CP yesterday taking out enemy resources on my own in the hour that i was logged in.
The exp in cyrodiil is nice.
Idk about the trials though.
that's wonderful but I don't pvp. I don't enjoy it. pve and pvp should be balanced. they increased trials xp finally, but they have already ninja rolled it back to what it was which is nothing. A whole Sanctum Ophidia completion=3%

Because the end of the CP system is set to keep people grinding till 2018. If they would leave the grinds alone so people can grind to their hearts content and just focus on more content then perhaps we could have nice things, as it stands now the devs want the CP system to last longer then it needs to.

Or it's meant to allow people to play the game without feeling the need to grind out every CP, since they don't make that much of a difference anyway.
But that would involve playing for, you know, fun.

Unfortunately a group of people in this game play with an overly competitive nature. This is more inline with a MOBA or similar game genre. It's why these people push so hard to be the best and find themselves bored easily and complaining there's no new content.
They then quit and move on to the next thing like locusts, living out a dull and trite existence.
LoL did it correctly in how to treat this mentality in that they are given nothing to work towards and are forced to play a single map over and over and over and over...
I remeber when people whinned about adding more veteran Ranks because their yellow armor were "useless" and asked for a change. Now the whinning is about CP.
If they remove the CP then people will start whinning about "lack of progression".
Charming I'm sure. That would work fine for me, and I suggested it myself as well. But I was presenting an alternative solution that may address the issues that others have posted with that suggestion, particularly your own comment saying that some groups may not manage to defeat the boss, and Audigy's comment that some players may just skip all trash and only do bosses. It's also an alternative to the "daily" lockout that has been suggested, which locks out the exploiters but not the genuine raiders.Once they have found a way to stop exploiters resetting the instance to farm the first trash mobs, I'm sure they will reinstate the 1100%. This would be doable by having a couple of restrictions on entry:
- Only a group of 5+ can enter the instance
- When the group enters, a lockout timer starts which prevents you from leaving to reset the instance and entering again. The timer is cleared when you kill the last boss so you aren't prevented from running the whole thing more than once.
Stop these silly suggestions. No artificial barriers are needed. There have been many posts about linking XP rewards to the boss kill. Problem solved.
My suggestion has always been that XP rewards get linked to every boss and the most XP to the last boss. So a party that does not manage the last or 3rd boss will still get XP from the first two. If a party can't handle the first boss then they don't need to get rewarded for the trash mobs. You can kill trash mobs anywhere.
I still don't see any need for lockouts. Your suggestion is a complicated implementation effort that brings nothing to the table. What happens if somebody gets stuck and needs to port out? What happens if the leader decides to disband the party? What happens if one member needs to go and you need to start over with a new replacement? What if the dungeon is bugged? There are good and legit reasons to reset a dungeon that have nothing to do with exploits.
They don't have to think about this stuff at all. Just link XP rewards to bosses. Every intern can make a calculation for this.
