This is outrageous ZeniMax, STILL getting latency spikes and errors.

Angry Player Activated

And still no official statement of you acknowledging the issue. One thing is for sure, if I don't see any statement regarding this issue being looked into, I will definately drop my subscription. Not because I think you will panic over 1 person refusing to pay monthly, but to make a point that I think it's utterly unprofessional for a company such as yourself, to "publicly ignore?" such a big problem that is affecting a lot of players.

I'm talking about latency, crashes and errors in PvE NOT PvP

Just in case you didnt notice, getting 999+ latency does in fact NOT improve the gaming experience. In fact, it's the exact opposite. And when you KNOW you pay monthly to a game when you really dont have to, and you are trying to enjoy the game (because the game is actually really enjoyable for me), it makes it that much more frustrating.

I don't expect you to fix the problem overnight, that would be unreasonable. What I want, is for you to communicate with the playerbase, and tell us what is going on, and what you are doing to fix it. It's not about fixing the problem fast (which Im sure you would if you could), it's about letting the playerbase know that they are not being neglected. At least that's how it is to me personally.

Hate me if you'd like, I really don't care. I think blunt honesty is healthy in certain situations, and I believe now is such a situation.

This problem exist from release and become worse now because of many new players and returned players. They didn't improve anything. And they don't care about sub, they just continue to sell flaming horses.=D

It was really bad last night in a normal dungeon run in Spindleclutch. At one point my spell bar locked up and wouldn't cast anything. I can usually dodge roll and unlock it but for some reason it was as if something that used stamina was stuck as it drained completely and wouldn't regenerate. I submitted a bug report on that one.

On the plus side.... I am no longer getting an <1> when trying to Port into Rawlkha.

@ZOS needs to hire a coding consultant to review their coding as somethings really causing issues with all game lag.

They have made many many statements about the the lag. Can't you tell they do not KNOW how to fix the lag? They have commicated with us regualrly and often about the lag. Every patch they break things. Its all in the DEV tracker. It is hugely irritating and I often get killed by Wrecking blows and never was hit once from my perspective obviously he was not getting the lag I had sinc ehe hit me five tiems and I did not see one of them. They need to hire someone else. We are a large group of angry players and we all share your pain but you will do what we all do, relogError Message <1> aaaaaahhhhhhhhh

The lag finally spills over into PvE. maybe... just maybe... they'll do something. Now that they are "breathing" before console launch.

I would like to hear that they are making this a top priority (and that it actually would be).

It's not happening constantly to me, but every once in awhile, my attacks don't respond in combat, i get logged off, combat will start and the first attack from the enemy doesn't hit until 5 minutes later and of course all hits occur at once that it has been firing off and I'm dead.

Everytime I put in a trouble ticket they say it's my ISP. Shockingly, my ISP says it's ESO's fault.

How can I tell who's at fault??

BF4 is considered bad when it goes above 70ms and you only pay for the game once, I can't quite understand how a game we've had to pay for since April last year has an "average" latency of 200+ ms.

Granted, its now B2P same as BF4 but the latency in comparison is rubbish.

I've had more problems with freezing and locking up than lag lately.

I'm sure they're looking into it (at least I hope) but I do agree, more communication is needed. Even if it is just saying "We are aware of the issue and are looking into solutions."

ZOS in case you are watching.

A lot of us began experiencing unusually high latency a week or so before 1.6 launched. Several players began posting about it at that time.

Also on Sunday between 4-6am (to the best of my recollection it was around 5am) there was a massive lag spike in Cyrodiil that occurred concurrently with an equivalent lag spike in PvE. I was in Cyrodiil and in voice coms with players in PvE at the same time. We all experienced it simultaneously. It lasted in extreme bursts for about 10-15 minutes. At that time the population involved with PvP was about 15max per faction.

When it happens to every person in your group in different states in the US on different ISP's it's a SERVER issue and not individual latency. The issue is with @ZOS, not us the consumers. Granted there are some customers with slower computers that the lag is even worse on, but the main part is at @ZOS.

That's ok, for me it's always my addons fault. Even though I removed all the addons and did a clean install of the game. I'm in Asia so I get having a 300 - 350 latency, I'm not going to complain because that's life. But the 800+ latency spikes are ruining the game for me. I can't really take on difficult content because I don't know when the game is going to crap out on me.

It did get really bad yesterday and my guildies were all talking of it so this was not just me and the few others posting here. I can't tell how much of it is due to additional population from going FTP (and if so, will it improve or not really?) and/or if it's due to the latest patch (which mentioned requiring higher specs, despite not seeming to change appearances). Either way, it's not working out for significant chunk of the game population and I do hope investigations are occurring at ZOS to improve this. Dying from mobs that I didn't even know were hitting me while lagging out is not exactly my cup of tea (and it's kind of like a flashback to playing MMOs in 1999)

Exactly the same here. FPS and ping rate off the charts to the point where I log in to feed a horse and collect my hirelings mail then I log out cause there's just WAY too many people on the servers now and they haven't done a single thing to prepare for it. Had no issues until people came back. Now it's just lag wherever you go, PVE or PVP. Just not worth my time anymore waiting 10/15/20+ seconds for the game to register I want to enter a damn door.

No one can even try to guess where the problem is without any kind of traceroute and pathping information.

Without any facts, your isp can continue to blame ZOS's provider and ZOS can continue to blame your isp.

Then they should put together a "team" of players who are having these problems on a regular basis, and work with them to pinpoint the issue. That's just a suggestion on my part. But that's hardly the issue, the issue is that they are being way too quiet about the whole thing. It makes it seem like they really don't care.

You've been told it's been acknowledged often enough and that the Dev Tracker is where you'll find their comments. You'll see the link to that at the top of the forums home page.

You're also posting support issues on a general discussion board where the only ZOS staff posting are moderators by and large, whereas on the PC Technical Support board there are ZOS technical reps with a much greater response rate.

Where are you playing from, is it a direct wired USB modem connection rather than shared/wireless, and which ISP are you with? Have you checked their own support forums as this is, for example, a regular problem with a number of MMOs so far as some Virgin Media customers are concerned.

There clearly are performance issues affecting a small number of players outside of Cyrodiil, primarily in dungeons, and it will take a two-way exchange between the affected players and ZOS - possibly extended to include their ISPs if there's a common link - for it to be sorted. The more polite and friendly one can be in those exchanges the better the chance of it being addressed.

I've yet to find a source of them acknowledging latency issues in PvE when few players are present on the same map. it's all Cyrodiil related topics. if I missed one of them addressing PvE lag, please give me the source.

It's NOT an issue with my ISP I can play every other game just fine, and I play like 20 on and off. I've done my research and it's NOT my ISP. The fact people will still suggest the whole "MAYBE ITS YOUR CRAPPY HERPA DERP" when its affecting half the playerbase, BAFFLES me. And no thats not a correct statistic, it's an exaggeration to make a point.

I'm putting emphasis on PvE lag because they already addressed lag in Cyrodiil. I want them to realize it's their entire game, and not only pvp. But of course both pvp and pve should be without lag.
