No other ulti gives you 10k+ dps....

It is an ultimate. When fully charged, Sorcs can spam that attack for nearly 1 minute. Do not *** off a sorc with glowing hands.
The ultimate replaces light and heavy attacks with those 10k bombs, plus it opens up a 3rd skill bar to use. It only drains ultimate when toggled on and when fired and can be untoggled at any time. The light attacks can be reflect though so feel free to give them a taste of their own medicine.1 -

Only 10k hits? Those were weak Sorcs then. Unless you had hardcapped spell resist like I generally run with but it doesn't sound like you thought of that and virtually no one seems to think of mitigation yet vs pew pew Cannon stats. Anyway, 10k isn't really that high against a soft target like you appear to be. My baby sorc fresh v14 would be hitting you for roughly 14 or 15k non crit. And he doesn't run with no mitigation
. I advise looking into your gear and build, then learning when and what spells to block or dodge or failing that absorb shield or reflect, while moving strategically in pvp

✭✭✭I'm in the bad habit of dodging things that fly at my character so it wasn't until about a week ago I noticed Overload light attacks in my death recap for the first time in probably months.
When it belatedly occurred to me to test this on some senche I came across with my [b[stamina[/b] sorc, it appeared to scale of weapon damage (depending on what my toon is wearing anywhere from 2100 to 2980 with Crit Surge active), but off of magicka, not stamina.

✭Overload, like every ultimate now, scale on the higher ressource you have (stamina or magicka), and the linked damage and critical.
Overload has been buffed in 1.6 and now is a very powerful ultimate, and it's good. But it's refletable and can't be weaved.1
