Will crown store ever offer anything other than cosmetic items?

Will the crown store ever have anything for sale that actually helps in battle and/or completing quests? Seems like as hard to come by as crowns are that we should be able to buy useful items, not just decorations.

Yes, but not what you are asking for. I hope. As soon as they add anything you are asking for i'm out.

Yes. Just pull up one of the threads about the XP boosters. They will help you level faster so you will be stronger. It will be considered a "convenience" item.

    Yes. DLCs.

DLCs are semi-tolerable as expansion packs though. (Just barley. ) As long as it doesn't end up being some kind of rental situation or just "buy DLC, talk to a guy and he hands you uber strong items for doing nothing".

Anything beyond expansion style DLCs should stay far, far away from the crown store though. It should always consist almost entirely of cosmetic only items.

Or, the one that will grant you max lvl. (geeze I really hope not)

I dont care to buy things like DLC. As long as it would give no advantage. I wouldn't mind seeing them sell "deeds" for homes at some point. Then there is a whole line of cosmetic crap they could sell for that home. They could even sell guild deeds to towers. And, then sell all kinds of crap for pimping it out. There is plenty of "things" they could sell, to keep generating money, without selling anything that would give any kind of advantage over any other player.

All that stuff is for freemium games.

Ok, let me rephrase the question.

Why should I continue to pay Zenemax $15/month if all I'm going to get out of it is cosmetic add on's that don't help me in game?

10% extra XP etc. doesn't justify the expense. I'm trying to figure out if I should cancel my Zenemax subscription or not.

Why would you ask other people to justify a personal expense for you? I don't understand.

If you don't think that you'll be interested in a monthly allotment of crowns to purchase "fluff" items, and don't consider it worth your money, then there's your answer.

If you would like the monthly allotment of crowns, and do consider it worth your money, then there's your answer.

DLC, when released, is unlocked for you while you have a subscription, but you could also just as easily permanently unlock it when released for a one-time purchase.

But all this is entirely up to you, and it isn't up to anyone else to justify the expense to you, except perhaps Zenimax themselves, since it's their product.

    *sigh*

crown store is already poisoning the game/community.

I'm fine with cosmetics only. The day they start adding in things to benefit the gameplay is the day I play something else.

Upgrade mats and gear would be really convenient too. They add more power just the same as more cp do and everyone can get best gear just by playing too. Really convenient atleast for me.

Leveling is Pay2win? i would say its pay2loose since the 1-50 story is the best in this game.. Only if the potions would increase champion xp would it actually be pay2win, for basexp not so much.

It doesn't ruin it, but I still fail to see how an XP bonus potion makes the game pay to win. What exactly do you win? If they started selling amazing gear in the cash shop, sure. They aren't there right now.

You say that as if it means something, while "convenience", in a competitive environment, is really just a euphemism for "cheating".

Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!
