I watched first one enjoyed it, hope it opens the eyes of some folks that think anything can be added to the game with a couple of clicks of the mouse and a line of code.

I would like to see player housing broken down in the future please.

You mean there's not a "enable underwater" button on the Game engine? Say it isn't so! :unamused:

Most of us know these things take time, effort, patience, knowledge, and skill to develop. Doesn't mean we're ok with the response "But.... that's going to be a lot of work." In response to requests for features.

I hope in the next segment they read what players have suggested before they have their brainstorming session. That way they could directly address the concerns and requests from the community.

I think people are thinking that this segment is something that it isn't. I don't think it was ever stated that it was a referendum on the state of the game, features, nor the chance for developers to answer questions about the same, nor things that people perceive about them and the priority.

And though you might say that most of us know these things take time, effort, patience... if by most of us you mean the ones that visit the boards, then it doesn't *seem* that way to me. It's understandable to be frustrated by the rate of updates and such. It's a very real investment in time and such to get the launch of the consoles and the switch to b2p done. One that cut into our expectations of the game.

But this place has become quite toxic when anyone sticks their head in, and when they try to do anything- as shown by this segment.

It was supposed to be fun and give insights into the development process. And even designing said features takes a bit of time, which is one of the reasons I'm sure the segment was pushed out- that they'd underestimated that time, or something else came up that took away from it.

Look at this in the same way as I say look at the polls. They are a fun sort of thing for entertainment and enlightenment and communication- but in no way a part of the development process.

How about mini-pets that actually do something, rather than just being eye-candy or collectibles? Ideas include:
    • Looting gold and/or all items off dead corpses.
    • Stat bonuses (could be different for each mini-pet)

    Features:
    1. Better LFG Tool (allowing create / join premade groups, able to queue for many different activities at the same time etc)
    2. Wardrobe (Diablo 3 like one to unlock armor & weapon skins).
    3. Housing & Guild Housing (WildStar housing is the best i have experienced in a mmo)
    4. Auction House
    5. Everything Account Wide (Trophies, Mount training etc)
    6. Barber Shop
    7. Race Change
    8. Jewelcrafting

    Fix:
    1. Latency For EU. ESO is the only mmo i play that has 150ms+ daily (during peak time is more than 200ms). In any other mmo are up to 70-75.
    2. Out of Combat. Mobs follow you for a mile and even if you are going to get out of combat they will hit you one time before they get back to their original position. Fix it pls.
    3. Skill Animations. Many skills when you activate them dont show an animation at all, especialy when in a fast rotation or those skills which are self buffs.
    4. Dismount / Mount. Sometimes it needs more than one pressing to dismount, especially when using an offensive skill. Mounting also sometimes needs a second press button.

Before an after Magicka Detonation was introduced onto the live server people suggested to make the damage from the skill scale with the number of targets hit in a defined radius. We already have at least one similar skill, the NB siphoning skill Sap Essence. How hard would it be to implement this change to the skill and how do you think it would impact game performance given the current state of PVP and PVE?

I'm curious about this too. I get the feeling that the first one was misunderstood by many who thought that the underwater stuff was actually under development.

I think that ZOS should talk it up and make it clear that it's totally speculative. And also pick a topic that is simple and appealing, like TORCHES!

I was against the changes to the Redguard armor at first since it was my favorite style but I got really attached to it afterwards. Unfortunately I'm sure you are aware that the Redguard heavy armor came with a lot of bugs and flaws. Such as the floating (causing a clipping issue) heavy girdle glitch, the (only two dye?) mislabeled greaves, and the random changing color of the jewels in the armor (the jewel color should be the same as the tertiary color in my opinion and not a random color based on the secondary color). I can compare your Redguard armor changes to a car maker creating a new line of cars on a deadline however when the car made it to the public, it came with lots of safety and cosmetic issues that were not intended. These issues are fixed with recalls or in our case, patches and fixes. I have yet to see any movement on the issues I've spoken about and yet every dev seems so know about them already. The heavy armor belt is an example. You can't find any NPC in the game with heavy Redguard armor that has the belt on. I can only assume it's because you know the belt is causing an issue and you are trying to hide it instead of fixing it. If the Daedric armor had issues like what the Redguard armor has right now, the forums would explode because Daedric is so popular and rare. Are you not going to fix it because Redguard is seen as unpopular?

And on the dye note once again... SHIELD DYES?!
"When in doubt, kill it with fire."
  • VertexAtaxia
    VertexAtaxia
    Soul Shriven
    Barber/Cosmetics
    • Not a full-blown "Face Sculptor" (as seen in Skyrim), and definitely NOT the ability to switch your race.
    • New hairstyles, adornments, face/body markings available ONLY at the shops, rather than at character creation.
    • In addition, some particularly cool adornments and/or face/body markings could even be unlockables thru achievements.

    Costume Designer
    • An NPC who, for a certain amount of gold, will create a physical copy for your inventory of a costume that is whatever armor you have (or do NOT have) equipped at that moment.
    • Say I really dig the look of a Khajiit iron cuirass with Bosmer leather guards, an Imperial light hat, barefoot and gloveless. I could acquire said items, equip them (and/or unequip), pay the NPC, and BOOM! I now have in my possession Costume (Unique) - Bound - Character Name's Outfit.
    • Another, perhaps better example would be that after running pledges and whatnot, you've got those sweet new head and shoulder pieces, but they don't jive with the set bonus' you prefer to rock.
    • It should be noted that the costume, once created, would retain whatever dye job you have on the armors equipped at the time. At least until such time as all costumes are able to be dyed.

    Polearms
    • Two-Handed weapon.
    • Crafted with Woodworking.
    • Ranging from simple bo-staffs to halberds, harpoons and even a scythe (Daedric style).
    • Possibly geared towards CC and off-tanking? I'm thinking wide-arcing sweeps for some AoE knockdowns, flourishes that deflect/redirect damage, etc.
One move I keep seeing in my mind would be a cross between the templar's javelin and the two-handed charge move: you harpoon a single target (no status effects) then rush in and pull your weapon back out of their torso, doing damage on both counts. A sweet morph of this could be that when you rush in to retrieve your weapon you plant your foot on the enemies chest and slam him to the ground as you're ripping your weapon out, adding knockdown and/or stun.

    Pugilism
    • Was originally thinking damage scaled off of equipped hands' armor rating, however it must have some kind of equippable "weapon" so as to properly take advantage of set bonus', so...
    • Punchbars, brass knuckles etc. Equipped seperately (a la dual-wield) or as a set (two-handed)? Should they be hideable, like helmets?

    Jewelcrafting
    • Researchable traits.
    • Set bonus'. Whether they become part of the already existing sets or new tables are created with new set bonus' specifically for jewelry. Which would in effect mean that you could really only do bonus' for having all 3 pieces equipped. It'd be pretty dumb to get a bonus for 2/3 and have a random ring or something neither contributing nor benefiting.

    from my topic
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/173566/forgotten-wayshrines-new-cyrodiil-idea-by-quadrotony/p1

it bring some PVP-related PVE to Cyrodiil

In my long travels in cyrodiil im noticed there is some ruined wayshrines, and after this i become pregnant with this idea
    now its born

    - i wanna to add 3 daedra bosses with unique mechanics, very hard to kill
    - each alliance will have its own boss
    - only one boss can spawn at the same time
    - bosses spawns randomly 4-5 times in a day
    - also the size of the bosses needs to be large - Molag Bal must have a few crazy titans laying around that are just of insane size.
    - boss will drop the same items as anchors but alittle better quality
    - boss location - 3 ruined bridges near imperial city
    - you can use siege weapons to fight with them
    - if your alliance kill the boss - all ppl of your allaince will receive access for two additional wayshrines belonged to this boss
    - look at the picture to figure out which one, so each boss grant acess for two wayshrines of different color, ie Red boss - to one shrine on yellow territory and one shrine on blue territory. etc.
    - it will count who last hit boss, so you need watch for thieves who can steal the boss from your alliance
    - you can use wayshrine only from other wayshrines, not from the keep
    - the ownership of a boss will provide small movement speed bonus for all alliance
    - the buff and wayshrine ownership longs only 1 hour or so
    - that would give a temporary advantage that would not completely destabilize PvP.
    - when boss become wounded more than 50% health all players of all alliances in cyrodiil will see the icon of the boss like "under siege"
    - so remember other alliance can come and interrupt your battle, it must be extremely fun

    "BAGS"
Like the ones we get from crafting writs, but useable to store to important items so we don't read/use/equip items by mistake.
Maybe I'm the only one to use a motif w/ wrong character or create a set item only to equip it by accident. or deconstruct a item I was saving for a trait.
Don't care if the bag/satchel/crate takes up a slot by itself, but 10-20-30 slot containers would be a great convenience to store important items.
The CRAFT could be added to existing skill lines,
Cloth bags for small items, glyphs/jewelry/runes
Leather bags for 1h weapons/smaller armor pieces/ larger mats
Crates for largest items and Treasure Chests could have some special effect... reduce item count by 1/2, maybe. and quality of the bag effect is content size.

OR just sell BAGs from merchants, probably be easier for coders

Something else that would really be nice is a "REFIT" skill to remove BOUND from a item, I hate when I have to deconstruct/sell a perfectly good item.
REFIT skill could be on a timer like writs, low lvl items 24 hrs, high lvl or quality stuff would take longer.

I hope game enhancements like these would be EZ to add and not require a lot of recoding.

Sorry haven't read everything, but sure hope my 2 cents will be interesting to some :)

    Here is how I feel:

I feel that developer make a great jobs giving us the next Elderscroll, but in some point I feel like this next episode still lack of personality as far as the MMO aspect of the game is consider. If I resume, I think that we still need to find out how this game will evolve. Possibility being that it ends up with more raiding content, more group oriented, more pvp, etc.

The possible evolution being a very large topic, here's how I see it.

    1. Abolish Veteran Level *
    a) an alternative evolution system
    i) the system should be xp base
ii) It should allow you to get conversion for some of your existing class ability

The way I see it, the alternative experience system should be a necessary upgrade for everything that is raid or HL content related. Somehow as turning every character into a legendary character. Upgrading some skill line into the next *** !

I do see as well some kind of potential for weapon conversion ability, for example: someone who's not a fan of restoration staff could choose to convert this skill line into a black magic staff which would somehow response in the way of the restoration staff but would give new ability. Same would be working for other skill line as well and could help define some more player identity

    2. Other thing and it will be the last, it would be nice that as you create new zone player could get acces to the other faction content not by restarting their quest line but by getting there normally (with probably faction point involve)

    Thank you for listening

A lot have already been said so I wont repeat, but

    - I'd have played a Wyrd druid if i could, i love the idea of morphing into a bear to tank
    - the greatest idea i have right now is to do something about the problem with the guild bank were the items we put wont stack.

How difficult would it be to allow vampires to look like normal mortals, as in, the way they looked at character creation before they became vampires?

How difficult would it be to expand the /ignore function to include not just hiding an offensive player's chat but also their entire character so that you no longer see them or their spell effects? I do realize this would likely have to be reversed in Cyrodiil.

I would love to see coliseums. One in each zone, for different levels. Players pay entry ticket and or even a ticket to watch. 1v1 pvp. Let's face it ppl are doing it anyway in cyrodiil let's have a venue. If it reduces the number of ppl in cyrodiil, no worries, then have less campaigns which will solve your campaign swapping issue.
But please Zen more than anything new can we please fix issues like animation cancelling or damage shield stacking. It's ridiculous someone can hit you with three or four wrecking blows in 2 seconds when they are supposed to take 1.5 seconds each, or can stack damage shields when other buffs can't stack. Skills should operate as intended and stated in the description. I have used animation cancelling my selfin the past but it's not right,it's cheating, and it's unfair for those who can't. Those who advocate animation cancelling as a good thing, grow some balls try playing properly.

I'm wondering what it would take to implement the Dragon War mentioned in Skyrim. As a veteran content where you go through and actually get to experience the war as it happens rather than just taking care of the aftermath like you do later on. I would also like to know about an ingame text chat like the PC had when it was first released, I don't know if it still does since i haven't played on it since right after it was released. The biggest improvement, I think, it would make would be to guild recruitment. As it stands you have to do it vocally in Area chat and hope someone near by is listening and wants to join. but not everyone uses the ingame voice chat when they have the option, like on the PS4, of party chat. that or they just don't have a working mic. I think it would tremendously improve on communication as aw whole by being able to type out what you want to say for others to read. some people have strong accents which make it hard for others to understand them or their mic's volume is too low to be heard.

Suggestions: First off i love the game, having said that there are some things ..easy things that will drastically improve all player's exp.

    1. PVE difficulty .
This is a huge issue, while the story is good, the combat is no challenge at all. There is no reason to have to make tactical choices based on if your playing solo or in duo/group. You can slap any skills together with any base equipment and be a god. Either a change needs to be made to the overall difficulty or you need to be able to choose an option to level scale quests/dungeons/increase difficultly(this will allow players to customize there experience). (There is the occasional good fight, which is what i would love to see a lot more of)
    2. Adding Instance dungeons.
Yes this is an MMO and you expect to see playing roaming the world. But what ends up happening is you walk into a random dungeon and are met with 4 players already inside who have cleared the enemy's and boss away. I cant tell you how often i am in a duo with my brother and i say this phrase" Lets give it 3-4min, 4players just ran through" My suggestion is add an option that each dungeon (All Dungeons) that requires you to zone, Can be played Public (default) or in a Instance (solo/group). When You go to zone in it should prompt you with a choice.

These are my thoughts, love to hear yours. thank you for your time.

I'd love to see the development of a new weapon. One or two handed sword or both that was wielded by the Norsemen (Vikings) Known as the +Ulfbhert+. This sword was so feared that most opponents surrendered by the mere sight of it. It would be nice to see this drop in End game battles or even a rare recipe drop along with rare ingredient drops to be able to craft it after Blacksmith reaches level 50. Just a thought but would be nice to see it in game as it seems ESO is geared to the Actual Norse Lore.

    I have a request / question:

Why the hell does your launcher need to rebuild the entire game MULTIPLE times to apply a 300mb patch?

Seriously wth is up with that?

I'm sitting here watching the launcher update the lastest update and it will download like 90mb, then rebuild 8+ gigs of data, then download another 90mb or so on and so forth.

Do you not have software engineers that can streamline this patching process for you at all? because quite frankly this is absurd.
