Really? You've got to be joking!
Trying to install the game on my wife's laptop and this is the good news I received. I only had 68.4GB free when I started. I cleaned some things out and still couldn't install the game with 73.1GB free.

Because of two reasons:
1. There will be patches. Everyone installing with 41 GB free on their hard drive would have issues with the next patch
2. Game performance. A full disk will slow down your computer. Especially if you install on your C: drive where your OS usually isEdited by Glierhuin on March 22, 2015 6:57PMI have approximate knowledge of many things.1 -

That is true. However, it is possible to just install the game on another harddrive (or even another computer) that has enough free space, then simply copy over the already-installed game directory to the smaller harddrive.0 -
ZOS_PierreL✭✭✭✭As Glierhuin said, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited client requires 60 GB on the computer's hard drive. At least 80 GB are needed to perform the download and installation operations, and the computer needs about 15% of its hard drive space to be empty to run properly.

KontrolledKhaos✭✭✭@ZOS_Pierrel we wouldnt have to download 80 gigs if you guys had done WHAT LITERALLY EVERY OTHER MMO IN EXISTENCE already does and implement delta patching, instead of requiring us to re-download whole chunks of the game every time theres a new patch.
