Is solo PvE too easy?

It is, but they really need to up the xp IMO AND the quest rewards.

Difficulty is in the eye of the beholder. My wife and I play cooperatively, and we've seen our characters killed by mobs at or near level.

For every "twitch-master" youngster out there who has mastered all aspects of this MMO interface and thinks the difficulty is too low, there are likely dozens of casual players who don't post here, play on weekends or when they get time, and find the gameplay difficult enough as it is.

Such casual players don't want to log in, develop a character and then get their butts kicked after a short learning curve. They want to kill time and have fun in an immersive world.

I am about 44 old, not exactly a "twitch phenomenon".

However I found the game was so good at release date, finally a MMO where I needed more than 1 button to complete the quests.

But plethoras of bad players complained until the game was made "WoW zombie easy mode".

Have to use the proper adjective: bad players. Because I am very "casual" but not bad and never had an issue doing anything. So the two concepts (bad vs casual) are not necessarily a synonim.

I wish there was a difficulty slider, those who play the game at "brain dead player" level would get drops and rewards scaled down by 1 "color", while good players would get it scaled up.

So, a bad player would get a green, a normal player a blue and a good player a purple.

Or maybe an achievement: "Director's Cut", which would be the original ESO difficulty.

In these days I am levelling a new alt (level 39 now). I have to take pauses to play the alt because I fall asleep while I play. BAD thing for a TES game.

All that stuff you guys are calling "Solo PVE" can be blown through in less than 2 weeks, anyway.

What ESO really needs is ENDGAME Solo PVE content that is very challenging and has great rewards.

I actually liked it when they accidentally buffed Vet levels for a week and made it hard.

Although... if they went back to that they'd need to fix the current rate of vet xp gain.

To achieve a harder game, there must be tutorials to eliminate the bad players. We can harp on and on about how woefully, mind-numbingly easy ESO has become, but as long as bad players remain the difficulty will not change. Therefore, we strive to eliminate the bad players through education: player guides, tutorials, helping hands. Without the bad players, there will be no demand for easy content. All of it will be for hard content.

So it seems, tha ESO was a very short adventure for me. No challenge -> No point to play. And I won't get refound :˙(

But I begin to like the mmo games. Can anyone recommend me some nice looking fantasy mmo with not boring questing and real challenge? I mean real challenge during the storyline, I know that pvp can be challenging anywhere.

    Thanks

Lol aye ok, if you don`t have a life.

There are other aspects to the game, like PvP and actually fighting against enemies who are not scripted and predictable, PvE is not the whole game nor should it be.

I am a hybrid player and do both PvE and PvP, and do well in both, but PvE is so mind numbingly easy that it is laughable.

Game stability and new content is needed asap.

I'd support difficulty settings for PvE, though don't know how the developers would implement it in an MMO, without instancing the entire world.

A personal buff/debuff to stats. The higher the difficulty, the more your character is debuffed. The lower the difficulty, the more your character is buffed. Leave mobs out of the equation. Simple.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

Sounds like a good idea. The issue is that rewards would have to scale as well, and currently, rewards are terrible across the board.

I`m playing Witcher 3 now, and difficulty is amaizing. Why? Because i can`t spam "X" (AOE) for win. Yes, i can kill 10 bandits, but only because of tactic, not because of aoe.

How do you feel solo pve after 1.6?

It is for faceroll style made, IMHO (NB dual/bow/craft set). Even public group dungeon, even most of "skull" bosses. I close them solo.

I`m imagine, how staves AOE build feels. It makes me sad. I`m subscriber since CBT, and remember "how it was". They`ve broken battlefie...ESO.

May difficulty settings will be? For those nerds like me.

P.S. Why low hp humanoids are not running for help?

after 1.6 game become childplay but leveling become a torture for me. For example some quests (side) gives me 90-500 xp.
Equal to 1-2 mob and they are totally waste of time and i can't see which quests gives what xp i would avoid them if there is an option to see quest reward xp.
