Ok wtf?? I can't delete characters anymore? The game says that I'll be able to delete someone again "after a period of time." How long is that?? So basically I can't play until the game decides to give me a back a deletion charge, unless I want to *** around on some random character while waiting for the charge to come back. I want to remake my main character and I can't even do that. This is so stupid.

    You have 8 Character slots.

    You could have remade your main with any of them. If you were unhappy with any of those, you could have deleted them.

    That's your own choice. If you don't want to use any of the other character slots that they so graciously provided you, that's completely up to yourself. Don't know why you would do that.

    It's to make sure people don't screw up and delete chars or get mad and log in to someone else's account (reason 1 why people shouldn't share account info) and delete chars. Deletion charges won't matter to you (or most people) after they get a few chars established.

    The limited deletion is to stop bots from overflowing the game.


    Also, yeah, sorry, your fault for deleting a character so many times in one day.

    Yeah, in this case, this is your fault for not being decisive enough. Character creation have plenty of opportunity for you to finalise the character. Either you have to face consequences and deal with reaching the deletion limits or whine about it. You are most likely new in community, but these measures are put in place and embraced by many. Again you have 8 character slots, use that.

    Well if the biggest complaint you ever have about the game is having to wait 24 whole hours to reroll your main because you deleted three random other characters before you deleted the one you should have deleted in order to reroll... You should end up being a very happy gamer.

    Sadly given the sheer overreaction to this very simple mechanic, I suspect that won't be the case.

    You would if they were still in game, blocking quest progress, picking the crafting mats clean, and closing off access delve XP and dyes.

    This. The BotFlood during launch made the game nigh on unplayable. It is easy to say that you don't care about something when it is no longer standing directly in your way.

    ...but still, I love the way that the OP wants the removal of a very effective anti-bot mechanic that ensures a bot-free playing experience for everyone on the basis that they can't find a character look they like.

    I'm annoyed, but I can see why they would do that.

    I've created and deleted a lot of new characters today alone, just trying to get them right. At least I now know it's only 24 hours.

    Maybe it's just me, but that neck seems pretty funky.

    Well, most of us do care about bots and the measure is there for good reason. Maybe you are a botter yourself . . . so if you have any sense of reason at all . . . I can't go on I will say something bad . . .

    Yes there are now two threads about this. I think it is an attempt by the botters to test the new waters of ESO TU. I'm sure if this person is a legitimate customer with legitimate complaints they will voice them and be helped through the proper channels. If OP only wants to use one character slot it seems kinda bogus.

    i love experimenting with different new alts so i always have 0 deletes daily, it replenishes by 1 around 24hours or so.
    alot of people look at this signature, i guess youre one of them.

    for one year ago, people were abusing the system with unlimited deletes, thats why they made the 3 deletes only options

    When the game launched, it was cluttered with intrusive bots. This limit and other changes have almost eliminated the problem. It’s the best thing ZOS has done for us. And you people want it rolled back.

    I would suggest using the PTS server to test Character builds. This way the character name will not matter and you would be able to build 8 slots before having to delete any.

    When building your characters, write down or screen shot the settings; this way when you have perfected your build, you can easily re-build it on the live NA server (as well as the EU server) as exact duplicates with the correct name.

    This only means that you will need to invoke and download the PTS client which is found here:
    loader.png

    Other than using more disk space, I think this should be a viable option, and would be very useful in the future when new content is getting ready to come out and you want to know the how's and why's of what will be coming next.

    You created 8 characters, deleted 3, created another 3 now you are complaining that these are 'random characters'?
