I'd be more interested to know why Norwegians and SIngaporeans, of all people, pay less. It's not like they top the GDP per capita lists or anything...
Why such a differences?
Nope. We pay a little more than we used to. We don't pay a little more than we should. From launch until just recently the prices in CAD were the same as the prices in USD, which never actually made sense, as the CAD hasn't been at par or above par with the USD in years.AshySamurai wrote: »I heard Canadians pay a little more than they should.

Based on this information, Canadians are indeed paying more. 79.99usd for TU vs 99.99CAD for the same.
Based on the currency conversion of $0.80cad to $1usd, Canadians should only be paying $95.99CAD for the game, so they are being over charged by $5.00. Plus we pay 13% additional tax on that too.
The same is happening with the game time cards. $15usd should be $17cad which it is online. Times that by two and we should be only paying $34cad for the Game Time Cards. BUT we are being charged $39.99cad for them.
So on average, Canadians are being nailed for an additional $5-$6, or in the case of Game Time Cards, $3/month vs paying a one month sub online.
Actually, at an .80 value, the conversion rate makes it $99.9875 cdn. The GST/HST is irrelevant to the conversion. It is a tax and is one that is a Canadian burden.
The monthy $15 USD would be $18.75, so 17.99 is a bit of a bargain. I expect the prices to remain stable unless there is significant change in the exchange rate.
Yes, I am Canadian
