Interesting position... I wonder how it will change if one day without any info price change to 36...

No, if I could not afford it then *** on me. I've lost the right to play. People don't just get whatever they want because they want it.

I can't speak for @Barta057 (and frankly I think it's rude of him to say "If you can't afford it, then you don't deserve to play", but luckily you can now play without having to pay the sub anyway), but if we suddenly had massive inflation and the Canadian dollar tanked badly so that $36 CAD was the equivalent of $15 USD, then I'd fully expect that the monthly sub price would go up to $36 CAD. If your country's currency takes a nose-dive, you're going to have to pay more for things on the global market. It's pretty much a given.

Exactly, and if the cost outweighs the benefits and you can't afford it then tough luck. You can either chose not to eat, prioritize and realize life is unfair and you've gotta make sacrifices, or last but not least get a better job.

It's not your right to be catered to and given things for free, if you can't afford them...tough ***. However UrQuan brings up a fair point, with the F2P transition you can play without the sub.

Agree, but there exist solutions that bring win to both sides, locked regions (like Steam)etc
With this price right now demand for product in that region will be veeery small, and that bad for Zos too.

The cost of administering locked regions may mean that it's not worth it for ZOS to artificially reduce the price for Russians (even though for other games from other developers it may be worth it). They may be better off losing a bunch of Russian customers. Without any data to base an analysis on, there's no way for you and I to know.

Omg, there was so much complain before when game had only sub option, now complain about OPTIONAL sub? Don't be subscriber if you can't pay, why ZOS should decrease something just cuz some crap game with 2k online players (someone post L2 screenshot of RUoff there) cost 2RUB with sub? And since 15$ are 1kRUB, then u must pay it since its equivalent to products to all around the world, ask your government/workplace to rise money for your work, not ZOS to decrease it for YOU.

I repeat: this is not about "Oh my God, what a high price, I would not going to pay so much!" (Personally, I'm willing to pay, and 2,000 rubles and 5,000 rubles for excellent service), this price will scare away new players. And compared to other MMO on the Russian market, the game looks less attractive. Although this is a terrific game. Just a bad business decision.

But it's a completely optional service, so why would it scare new players that don't even need it away. At most it's an investment you make later on once you've gotten your 60$ worth.

Because there are other b2p MMOs with mass PvP and that cost more! than two times lower.

So go and play those "other" MMOs, or you think ZOS or any of the players will run after you and will keep yelling "OH NO! RUSSIANS PLS COME BACK! WE WILL PAY MONEY FOR YOU TO KEEP YOU WITH US AND PLAY!!!1" thats what you expect? Really, no one care, there are many other players from all around the world, France\England\Germany\Poland\China\India\Australia and so on, they are great people with who we enjoy to play.

It seems like you didn't get my point. I didn't say that they should keep the price on 500 rub or lower. Many stuff is now more expensive by 10-50% and considering this they shouldn't have increase prices for game and sub by 100%. It's bad business decision. If they want to get profit from Russia then they should increase prices by 30-50% max. Otherwise most russians simply will stop paying and there will be no new players from this region (cause even old price was object of whine in russian community).

If they'll be selling game and subscription for dollar I will be satisfied then. Or lower prices.

It does seem a little unfair. I live in Norway and my currency has dropped 40% against the dollar the last year. Back when ESO launched a dollar was around 5.5 kroner, while it's 8.5 kroner now.

Still when I paid 30 days sub in 2014 I paid 99 kroner, at that time around 18 dollar for a month sub. Today I still pay 99 kroner if I want to sub, but it's only 12 dollar now.

look, in Belarus the price in their roubles is ~900 000 BYR, but they dont cry and do not demand ZOS to sell them this game for 1000 BYR. :D

I thought I still will pay subscription but with new price it's just stupid. And I don't think that $15 and 1000₽ is really equal in USA/Europe and Russia.
If were not b2p, it would make me leave game. Sad...

you just have to ask Mr.Putin to return the Crimea to Ukraine and then your prices in roubles will be better after some time.
else you must be happy that this game services still available in Russia, so say to ZOS your "spaseebo".

    small historical excursus

    But
On 19 February 1954 the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union issued a decree transferring the Crimean Oblast from the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic to the Ukrainian SSR. According to the Soviet Constitution (article 18), the borders of a republic within the Soviet Union could not be re-drawn without the agreement of the republic in question. The transfer was approved by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union; however, according to article 33 of the constitution, the Presidium did not have the authority to do so.
    Source Wiki
Following contested referenda in which an overwhelming majority indicated a desire to join the Russian Federation, Russia signed a treaty of accession with the self-declared independent Republic of Crimea, absorbing it into the Russian Federation, though this is not recognised by Ukraine or most of the international community.
    Source Wiki
It wasn't an annexation, just desire of the people.

How many hours do you have to work for the monthly sub in Russia?

For me I have to work about 30 mins to make the 12 dollar for a month sub, I work as a IT consultant. I guess it would be about the same in the US if you have decent job. Maybe 2 hours if you work at Mcdonalds in the US.
