So... when can we expect some patch notes and server ETA? >.>

Also, will the crown store be open when the servers are up or will that be "unlocked" tomorrow?

    I'll never understand why they don't post the notes as soon as the server is brought down.

    Apparently, they need to type them up, HTML-ize them, format them, etc. These things take time children.

    Also, if the patch doesn't take, then you've posted patch notes that aren't correct. They usually post them as soon as they are sure that the patch is working.

    the patch notes will likely be released when the server comes back up. my guess the server will be offline 6+ hours, since they are rolling out tamriel unlimited tomorrow.

    Ahhh, okay. For a second I thought they knew the patch notes before the patch comes out. Silly me and my thinking that they just don't wing it.

    Typically, about 2-3 hours into the patching, a ZOS employee will post that patch notes are "imminent". They will then usually appear about an hour - and hour and a half later.

    6+ hours? I highly doubt that, if you saw the Patch note on the PTS for 2.0, it pretty small.

    While that may be true, MMOs have a proud long standing tradition of 15+ years where patch notes are released prior to downtime.

    ZOS should not be in a situation where the employees are running around the office going 'downtime? OMG! What the hell have you changed this time?!' :)

    While I'm not disputing you, I'm actually having difficulties thinking of a game where this was true. And I've played most of them over 15+ years too. Come to think of it EQ2 released their patch notes days beforehand. There's one I guess.

    They dont release the patch notes ahead of time because they dont want to let people know what they are doing. For the guy talking about how it takes hours to format the patch notes. Uh ya I could do a 100 page word document into html format and post it in about 15 minutes.

    Well, if ZOS wanted to be clever they could point at the PTS patch notes and say "ta da!" They've been there for days, but anyway...

    The guy calling people children and saying the patch notes shouldnt be up yet because they have to be formatted into html.

    i agree with it taking 6hours if u see the time in euope is around 10pm is when this started and 2am gmt time so add 6hours and you have early morning the 17th in gmt time..... therefor we will prolly be playing tamerial unlimted here in the USA in about 2more hours since some time has passed since start, so for us the16th tammerial unlimited
