I was touring my new guildies through Craglorn today and something struck me,
Why Zenimax turned few of the most awesome designed dungeons into a one-time affair?
Seriously, because of Undaunted pledges we are doing a tons of:
- Wayrest Sewers - Mandatory MMO sewer level, boring as hell.
- Fungal Grotto - Mandatory RPG spider cave, even more boring
- Darkshade Caverns - The most bland of them all with two painfully boring bosses: Engine Guardian and Grobull
- Spindleclutch - Just another cave with undead stuff.
etc. etc.
I understand. Those dungeons are the first dungeons designed. They are boring and medicore in their mechanics, very generic.
While Craglorn delves are so well designed, so much fun and so very epic.
As I said, i visited most of them one time only and due to low quest and mob XP they had zero repeat value, today I agreed to help some folks out in Upper Craglorn and some other dungeons and I wanted to shout "WHY ARE WE NOT FUNDING THIS?" (Family Guy reference).
Skyreach Pinnacle - Hectic arena with awesome celestial titan in the end
Skyreach Hold - Pretty, just pretty stuff.
Shadas Tear - Before the content nerf this one really made me cry on last boss. Awesome dungeon with fun mechanics
I could count on and on and on.
Its a shame that this very well designed content is currently treated like a one night stand after a saturday night - score an achievement and forget.
P.S. I want veteran fight with the Architect (Vaults of Madness) NOW!
I know we all crave for new content but it would be a slap into level designers face if we just left some of the awesome spots to gather dust.
