I'm tired, it's late, and I don't feel like getting in a fight with someone over semantics and typos . If you feel there isn't lag in Cyrodiil great, but I disagree, and I know the difference between lag and latency and I'm sorry that I didn't adequately convey that. Happy?

I'm never happy #humancomplexities. Also check my post history I'm one of the hardest QQing PvPers around regards the state of the game. You blew this up I was just correcting/educating you no something I genuinely thought you had misunderstood (and you would have not have been the first if that was the case). Sorry if I came across douchy it's the internet and with a lack of tone infliction and minor forum exp it feels like everyone is out to get you. Either way glad we sorted that out and I hope ZOS can sort their game out before Runescape has a resurgence.

Lag is better than constant crashes. When i teleport to a town , it takes 30 minutes the leave. Because since 1.6 every 3 steps in town = 1 crash. If i can leave the town , im happy because i can play the game i'm paying for. And every couple of crashes , launcher asks me to repair the game. Doesnt let me play without repairing. I've tried clean install with its own launcher. I've tried it over steam. Same thing.

No lag for me but the game crash with a 50% chance in evry loading screen.

EU server is suffering as well. Did some group dungeons with guildies yesterday and we experienced all sorts of bugs and lag. Mobs just stand there and refuse to fight - you can't kill them either. People got booted back to login with no errors. Doors would not open. Just a bunch of weird stuff that felt like lag causing it. If you are complaining about 500ping you've got along way to go buddy ol' pal.

I've got 30ms and 100 FPS and the game is still lagging - it's the responsiveness of ESO and not my computer. I don't know if it's the server or the game, but there are lags and responsiveness issues and nobody can deny that.

I consider myself really quite lucky considering some of the experiences other players and my guildmates have been having.

I have had additional lag, rubberbanding and more crashes than normal - annoying but not making the game unplayable. I also keep getting that patch error on the launcher but shutting and re-opening the launcher a few times seems to temporarily sort it.

My guildmates have been crashing more and some of them have really had a lot of trouble getting into the game at all.

I'm not denying it, by "500ms youve got a long way to go" I meant exactly that 500MS would be A I get killed out in the field (witha rush of skills that finally work) Get half way walking back to keep/outpost then die instantly from all the other skills used against me in the previous stanza. This game is cooked and ZOS hasn't made one comment about it they are murdering their own relaunch!

I'm sure you totally know this already but you do really need to pull out all the stops to have every piece of hardware at your end singing sweetly by March 17th. The game performance in the first hour of play is going to be one very significant factor in keeping or not keeping that expected rush of new players.

I have a similar problem. Horrible latency spikes that come and go. ZOS says its an ISP problem on my side. Does that make sense?

That's normal regardless of your set up, Lag and FPS are two different things -_-

Actually, lag means both FPS drops and ping. The term 'lag' just means 'delay' - there can be a delay in frames per second, and there can be a delay in internet packets.

you guys respond to pve, but not to the crap storm of lag going on in pvp??? can we get some investigating on that?

When they talk about investigating lag, it is almost exclusively PVP/Cyrodiil. Whenever they make a change to the game to address lag in any part of the game, it is overwhelmingly to address PVP/Cyrodiil lag.

More than just that. There is also lag on the server where the server simply cannot keep up with the processing demands. This will not be measured by latency, ping, or FPS. We will see a lot more of this in the coming months.
