The day that 1.6 hit the PTS I tried Radiant Oppression. I was able to kill a few people with 55-50% or less health who only had 16K to 22K total health and had the same gear and bars that had been copied from 1.5 on live, etc. A couple of days later, I could only kill people with it who had less than 35% health and who either A.) weren't wearing heavy/specced for Max Health or who B.) weren't shield stacking or spamming heals. Many people barely seemed ticked by it and some ate it like candy, even after 3 consecutive beams.
Last night I tried it on Live. Again I was using the same character, a VR14 Templar with all stats into health and gear set for Magicka Regen and Max Magicka bonuses. I was using top level purple food. In other words I had a decent amount of Magicka and easily kept it topped off. My experience was as follows:
Attacking with Radiant Oppression:
1. With about 3-4 dozen tries, not a single player was reduced by more than 20-25% health on the first hit. Many lost much less.
2. I could only "melt" people at 35-30% health or less and only if they weren't heavy tanking or shield stacking/heal spamming.
Being Attacked with Radiant Oppression:
1. Never died to it, unless someone tagged me with it as part of a group when I was at less than 5% health and didn't notice. I was hit several times by it, even when at 50-60% health.
2. I did however still die to A.) Rapid spam Bow attack combos stacked with Marked Target from a Nightblade, B.) getting perma-rooted and beaten to death by a Dragonknight, and C.) two-handed weapon users who won duels by stam attrition after a long slog.

I am starting to wonder if the ability everyone is complaining about is simply the unmorphed version Radiant Destruction. It is possible that this was not fixed while the morphed versions Radiant glory and Radiant Oppression are working as intended. I am also very concerned with the so called Nirn weapon bug and how this is effecting this new ability. I certainly hope that its the those aspects that are hurting this new ability rather than the final version of the ability itself.

I agree. I watch quite a few people who pvp on Twitch and it is ALWAYS the unmorphed version that is getting used with dubious effect.
Can you enlighten me how can I interrupt it if the templar use immovable?tinythinker wrote: »This is only my own experience and others can obviously talk about their experiences with the ability.

Radiant isn't bugged, bonus works for me at 30 - 35% HP.. Idk why ppls Qq about it, templar caster finally got cool tool, and ofc instantly is too OP.. Just learn to interrupt it, several ways to do so, instead of blocking maybe try it..

Even that I am not sure whether it will works when the templar uses immovable but how can I close the gap of 35 meter skill when my gap closers are 22 meters?CPT_CAPSLOCK wrote: »Bash. Can you enlighten me how can I interrupt it if the templar use immovable?tinythinker wrote: »This is only my own experience and others can obviously talk about their experiences with the ability.

Healing received while your health is in execute range and RD is being channeled?Even that I am not sure whether it will works when the templar uses immovable but how can I close the gap of 35 meter skill when my gap closers are 22 meters?
Back up out of range or move forward into range. DK's are used to standing in no mans land. But, now that there is a common counter (although a relatively weak one) to flappity flap, standing in no man's land might not always the best choice.
