I know how this issue happens and I know that it is intended and only a visual bug. Thing is: you can get enlightenment ONCE per day. If you get it again at any given time it will look like you are gaining exp with enlightenment. BUT you didn't actually get enlightenment for whatever reason (there might be a few actual bugs with this). This means you will see yourself leveling fast and gaining points, points that you don't actually get. If you gain 4 points while this visual bug is active on your account you will only get one instead.

Yeah I made a post about this yesterday, it is clearly some kind of display bug and is exactly how you describe it.

Well, I can't even get Enlightened once, so I shouldn't talk but ... I think some people are getting their normal Enlightenment and grinding through it. Then, some kind of bug makes it look like they are Enlightened again well before Enlightenment should kick in again 24 hours later. So it looks like they earned 700K while Enlightened, which translates to 2,800K towards Champion Points. But only 400K was really Enlightened. The UI bug resolves itself and now instead of 4 x 700K for 2,800K, they see 4 x 400K + 1 x 300K for 1,900K. Looks like they lost XP/CP.

Its a bug, you aren't actually getting it. When you really get it, logging, switching characters, whatever, it doesn't disappear. What the OP is saying is that when you get these messages you aren't actually enlightened and its a display bug.

Well the 4 enlightement cp I got yesterady are still here with 3 cp I already got today.

OP is not entirely correct then since some people have in fact already spent the points earned - so clearly it is not just a visual bug in some cases if the points have been applied.

OP is correct, so is @Huntler. What he said explains why i had enlightement buff 3 times yesterday, but each time I used wayshrine, it was gone. Also once after relog. Today i got a ''proper'' version of it, earned 4 CP, spent all 4 on 3 characters, with like 10 relogs, 2 crashes and even more wayshrine travels during buff time. The difference is, that today buff was active all time until I got last, 4th CP.

Thank you for explanation guys, getting and loosing enlightement yesterday was really annoying, now at least we know what was wrong.

I earned one enlightened CP yesterday (well over 24 hours after initially logging in) and I lost my enlightened bonus. Today, it is still not there. How can you explain what is going on with this?

Sounds like it might not have actually been enlightenment, but no I don't have an answer for everything. There certainly also seems to be a bug where some people aren't receiving enlightenment at all, yet I can't confirm it.

Other players cannot explain exactly what is going on in your situation, only ZOS can. There appear to be several issues reported over the last few days and there may be multiple causes, but this display problem sure isn't helping matters any. According to Gina in the thread below, they're looking at these reports and will get back to us "soon".

What a damn mess this is. Just more beta testing is all it is.

And why are people getting 4 CP with a single buff? The buff is 400k per day..which is one CP if I am not mistaken? What am I missing here? Translates to earning 100k of normal XP, which gives you 400k of CP XP, which gives you one single CP. Then the buff should go away. No?

Except that the number of Champion Points I have =/= my Champion Rank. So it's more than a UI bug.

Don't worry. Anti-crashing and able-to-spend-cp potions will be available in the crown store.

Visual bugs aside, you will know when you truly have enlightenment. CP gain is significantly and very noticeably faster.

Enlightenment lasts for 400k usual exp = 4 CP
