Crystal Fragments cast time

Reduced the cast time on all ranks and morphs to 1 second from 1.3 seconds.

This is never 1 second, it's not even 1.3 seconds. I timed the cast time on the pts and now on live and i always get 1.6-1.7 seconds. And it also feels way longer than 1 second.

Can you guys please check and confirm this?

    It is... 'was' a great time/magicka saver if/when you built up enough crit. :(

    Nah, don't think this is right, the proc fires instantly, but the cast time is longer than before

    Also check the actual cast time of clannfear vs twilight, both display 1.3 seconds, but clannfear feels MUCH faster then twilight.

    I just recorded it in 60 fps and checked the time between the first visual effect and the moment the fragment leaves my hands and it was 1.8-1.9 seconds.

    I've been thinking this myself. Sure does not feel like a 1 second cast.

    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    Timed it at 3 seconds from the time you start to the time it hits target at max range stupid slow travel pulled it off bar immediately myself. Can do twice that damage with a bow in 3 seconds

    Well, you can't time it this way. this is not the cast time. Cast time is from animation start to animation end which is when the fragment starts launching.

    and this is almost twice the duration that's stated in the patch notes and way longer than it was before in 1.5

    EDIT: No matter, I'll soon find out myself... once I get these framerates and crashes under control. LOL

    I thought I was just going crazy or something. I'm going to time it now tonight! I'll post it here when I do. Also, is anyone noticing that the instant cast version is happening less often than before? It seems to me like I get its less often. Before if I cast CS, lightning, disintegrate, then cs I would get a free cs 1 of ever 2-3 times now it seems like its 1 every 3-4 times.

    Use FTC combat statistics, have a fight with nothing but CF. The timed duration of the fight in seconds should equal the number of CF casts, if it doesnt, there ya go....

    OK, just to clarify... we are talking about the normal casting time? Or the "instant cast"?

    I can give a hell about the casting time. I (myself) just require the instant cast to be the same/close time.

    I 'believe' the instant cast (prior to 1.6 that is) may have had to do something with either crit, or spell damage, as after consuming a potion, I'd get an instant cast 50 - 100% of each spell cast provided. However, that may just be me....

    I'm sort of discussing both. The cast time in relation to the initial normal cast seems longer. ie: the 1 second cast seems to be taking longer than 1 second. I also added an additional thought related to only the % of times I'm getting an instant cast. I haven't really paid attn to the cast time on the instant either. It seems pretty fast so it's instant enough for my taste.

    I'm only talking about the hard cast, not the proc. the proc still works the same for me, it's instant and happens as often as before.

    But 1 second cast time would make the hard cast a little more viable in certain situations and therfore better.

    It seems to be going off more quickly for me than in prior patches, which indicates to me that the decreased cast time is working just fine. Definitely nowhere near 1.5-2.0 seconds... might be something else going on in the OP's case?

    I notice you can clip into the animation much sooner than previously. You can clip into the animation with a light attack while the animation is still "building" the crystal.

    Yep, the overall cast time is definitely lower.

    for me
    its 1.8-1.9sec for a casted fragment
    and 1.1-1.2 sec where i´m locked out from using abilities after using a "instant" proced fragment (thats the time from executing the cast till the animation fired off...)

    From the time I hit my key to throw my first crystal fragment until it hits the npc is three seconds for me. Any I throw after that are instant.

    Yeah the time between pressing the button and the hitting of a target is way longer, but that is the same with every skill.

    The important part is the animation itself. I recorded this in 60fps and looked through every single frame to see when the animation starts and when it ends.

    I looked for the first frame where i could see the little glowing orbs when you cast the fragments, that was my starting point.

    then i looked for the first frame where the fragment had left my hands and that was my ending point.

    the time between those frames was like 1.9 seconds. This is way longer than in update 5 and almost twice as long as it is supposed to be in update 6.

    i would appreciate if you guys could do that too to get some exact numbers in here.

    I hate the delay after crystal fragments cast, you got animation lock something that most skills simply don't have but crystal locks your char for total of 1+ seconds, it's way too much delay.

    I think some of the ability durations are at lest a bit off at the moment. The tooltip for elemental blockade says 3.5s duration but it definitely persists longer than that (closer to 7 seconds with a stopwatch). And lightning flood says 6 seconds duration but that time seems to be counted from the moment you click lightning flood, not the duration the spell is actually on the ground. A little misleading or wonky.

    [Edit]: Elemental blockaded tooltip seems to be correctly displaying 7s duration now.

    It's about 3 seconds for me too - long enough that before my one shot even hits I am dead because of the newly buffed skills the other class lines got. Long enough for the target player to be half way across Cyrodil...

    Do you realize how strong frags are when combo's right? Frags are doing 14k in pvp and you want a shorter cast time?
