Quest Bugged: Eastmarch "Gods Save The King"

I need help with getting "Gods Save The King" unbugged. I was able to get to the point where High Priest Esling tells me to Pray to the Fox, Pray to the Bear, and Pray to the Wolf. No matter which one I choose, I bow and touch my hands together then I stand upright again and nothing happens; I'm still in Mistwatch. Abandoned quest, logged out, disabled all add-ons, came back 12 hours and there's still no change. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? My progression into Daggerfall vet zones is completely blocked by this.

Hey there @donmuerte,

The screen should flash white when you select an altar and teleport you to another location. Give a try to repairing the client and let us know if that helps with this issue.

To do this, close the game and open the launcher. Just above the news articles, select Game Options, then Repair, and let us know if that helps out.

Looks like this quest is still bugged, my wife and I went to do it - mine worked but her's is stuck on the same part as above. Her progression is now blocked. Client repair did nothing. We tried logging out, abandoning the quest etc it just won't work.

Still nothing on this quest? We reported it to support yesterday(15th of March) but haven't heard anything at all - have not even gotten ticket number yet. Is there a way to get this to work?

Thanks, will submit a ticket as at the moment we can't progress any further with this quest line which I believe also takes you to the zone after Eastmarch.

Still haven't gotten any help on this quest and still haven't received even a ticket number using the /help request.

Can someone please help? We still have active sub left and not getting any support.

This sounds very familiar to a bug with the Balreth quest in early release. The reason it happend was because of vast amount of people triggering this quest in a short amount of time it somehow gets stuck in between phases or whatever. Not that this is of any help to you, but maybe ZoS can. The is probably the reason your wife was able to complete it at some point cause server has reloaded the quest.

This is indeed a quests which you need to complete to progress to the next zone, frustrating and unacceptable.

My advice is to do some side quests once in a while and come back at a later point, This worked back then. ZoS should help you.......

Thanks Pronkg, yeah I remember early release and all the problems, at least most of the time we were able to get past the problems by logging out. I logged in with her account again today but to no avail. There is nobody around when doing the quest. It just won't work no matter what we try. Since my wife and I play together we are now both stuck and can't go any further with this main story quest line.

Yeah I understand, Wish I could help. Lets hope ZoS will respond soon. Main quests at the least should be bug free by now.

Also.. could be a pain, but try to do the quest at midnight or later. That seemed to work back in the days

I am the one having problems with this quest. It just seems there is no help from ZOS. I can't believe there are still bugged quests even now. I hope someone will help me soon.

OK, 5 days and no feedback from ZOS at all, not even an automated mail with a ticket number or anything.

I got it working though. It seems in our case at least that vampirism was the culprit. Fed the character till she got to stage 1 and then tried again...and now suddenly it works.

I tried right before the feeding and it would not work. So if anyone else can't do this quest and you are a vamp, try feeding and see if it works then. It could of course be a coincidence that it worked.

I'm having the same problem. Doesn't matter to which altar i pray. It just stands there, bows and prays. No screen flashing white or anything.

Abandoning and restarting doesn't help. Repairing game doesn't help. Reloadui doesn't help aswell. Tried on multiple days aswell. So i'm stuck here..

I tried with stage 1 vampirism but still not getting the teleport

Fun thing is, I can't finish the mage guild quest line on my main, and now I can't finish the zone quest on my alt .... Sometimes I wonder why I still subscribe for this game since we have to solve the problems ourselves and ZOS doesn't even care to answer our mails...

Went back after some hours didn't change a thing...
Worst part is seeing everyone getting the tp normally and you still being stuck watching the altar...

I wonder if I should use this occasion to pray at the altar to get an answer from ZOS. Maybe even the gods in ESO can't do that much...

Went back again the next day and a miracle occured ! I got tp into the quest !
I guess my prayer to the altar was useful. Thanks the gods of ESO

I am currently having the same issue as well, Molly can you please update on this issue as it significantly blocks progress and surely by what the guys here have said and the lack of feedback, you'd think an apology was in order for poor customer service on ZoS' part?

My husband is having this issue now too. He clicks on any of the totems, but nothing happens. No flashing screen and teleport. he logged out, logged back in, abandoned quest, and restarted. I guess his storyline is stuck now?

Same thing happened with a quest in the Rift. Through the Shroud is broken, he can't use the Gray Jar and proceed. So he can't get the achievements for Eastmarch or the Rift I guess.

Mine works just fine.

We're both on the PS4.

Is this something we can look forward to? Constantly broken quests which prevent progression and apparently don't get fixed. This was reported back in March, it's now August and the bug is still there.

And yes, he's reported the issue with Through the Shroud ZoS, no useful response.

I'm having the same issue. I thought it may have been level based as I'm 48 and I've seen others in there 30's teleport, but now I've seen others around my level or higher complete it. So far no help from ZOS.

same issue on xbox one. i've tried abandoning the quest several times, doing several soft-resets, leaving/reentering the area with or without quest, etc. customer support is no help as of yet.
