Patch 1.6 download speed 1.69Mb/s!

I've got high speed fibre optic broadband and my 1.6 update is crawling along at 1.6 - 1.7ish Mb/S. At this rate I'm going to be here for hours, and I'm really not sure that it's going to be worth the wait!

If the download and installation process is running slow, there are several temporary solutions:

First, you should try temporarily disabling the firewall and anti-virus. Default Windows firewalls will come on automatically after others are disabled, so keep in mind that the Windows firewall may need to be disabled, too. Always remember to turn them on again after the download completes.

you can also try opening the following ports on your router:

• TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131
• TCP / UDP Ports 24300 through 24331
• TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507

If that doesn't work, you can try bypassing the router and plugging the computer in directly to the internet source to improve download speeds; depending if you are on WiFi or not.

Last but not least, you can change the Maximum Download Speed of the launcher. Click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner to open up the Launcher Settings, scroll down to the bottom of the menu, and look for the section titled Maximum Download Speed. Click on the drop-down menu and select 1MBps, 5, 10 or even unlimited download speed.

This should help speed things up!

I am also having download issues. Usually my patches download at around 800kb/s to 2mb/s

And this one does when i first fire it up. However after around 20 seconds it drops back down to 50kb/s that is DIALUP SPEEDS and it will take me days to fully patch. I have never had this issue with any other patches. Is there some way we can download patches via a torrent file or similar because this is ridiculous.
