Tutorial Bug?

So, started a new character in the revamped tutorial to see how it is.

I get the sword from the daedra, and as I'm following our half-giant friend, we get into a battle.

All of a sudden, this blue stuff surrounds my 'view' and it says for me to press the left mouse button to attack. So I do.

Here's the problem.

That blue stuff locked me into a position as I was turning, so I am not facing the daedra, hence I can't hit him, hence I am STUCK. Can't exit as I'm in combat, so had to ALT+F4 out of the game.

So yeah ..... that stinks.

When I log back in, I'm facing the correct way. Might wanna look into that 'locking into position thing'.

Thanks very much for letting us know! When these kinds of issues occur, please be sure to also use the /bug feature. This will help give us some insight on why the issue occurred.

As a side question, where you in first or third person when the issue occurred? Generally first person will allow you to rotate your character in place, where third person will not.

Third person.

And I couldn't do anything like a /bug report. I was literally frozen from doing anything.

If I went to the main menu (through ESC) I could get a chance to swing at air.

The 'blue stuff' is a tad annoying, I didn't suffer from it like you but it certainly glitched me for a second or two.

It's an effect that happens a few times during the entire intro section, I have no idea what it's trying to teach you, it's an effect I have never, ever seen in the 'real' game so I assume it's a 'teaching aid' of some sort but God knows what for.

Yeah, thankfully when I got back into the tutorial, I was very careful about what I did in 3rd person. It happens a few more times, but overall I don't really like it (though I can understand why it is there). But really, having the key explination and what you need to do, would be enough to know and not have the lock in place mechanic.
