Need Gameplay option to disable targeting of NPCs

For those of us that don't want to indulge in Justice please provide an option to disable targeting of NPCs and the ghostly 'selection' outline they have.

In fact, please provide an option to disable Justice entirely to prevent accidental damage to NPCs.

They do have that option. I forgot what it's called, but it's something about targeting in gameplay settings. I don't know how effective it is, such as allowing you to do AoE damage without hurting NPC's, but there is an option.

It's under Gameplay in settings. The option is called Prevent Attacking Innocents, just turn it on. Innocents will no longer be targetable and AoE damage doesn't seem to affect them even when it's off. Only single target damage seems to work, discovered that for myself yesterday. >.>

Okay, thanks for pointing that out, I was unaware of it (did I miss it in the Patch Notes or did ZOS choose not to mention it?).

That said, the default should be DISABLE this feature, not ENABLE it. Let those that want to inflict this unnecessary annoyance on the rest of us have to go to the effort to enable it rather than force us who want nothing to do with it do the work.
