Is a Stamina morph of a class skill still a spell?

I'm trying to figure out how this will work in 1.6. Take the Templar class skill, Piercing Javelin; it has a morph, Binding Javelin, that makes the skill scale off Stamina and weapon damage, and costs stamina rather than magicka. Does that make it a feat rather than a spell?

Would Defensive Stance from the S/B weapon tree still absorb such a javelin, or would it pass through unharmed as not a spell projectile?

Yes, Gina actually said that (at least regarding Rushed Ceremony) right here:

VR 16 Templar (retired until Templars get fixed)

Im not sure in 1.6, but when I started playing eso I was unsure, so made a ticket about it, the short answer was any weapon/class skill that costs magicka, counts as a spell.

But this skill doesn't cost magicka anymore.

The changes also state that they will scale off weapon damage instead of spell damage. They will count as weapon attacks now.

So you think they would not be reflected by abilities such as Defensive Stance, which only reflects spell projectiles?

Off the top of my head, the only skill that would be affected by this is Binding Javelin, which is rarely used in PvP due to its low damage, prohibitive cost and somewhat lacking effect (Fire Clench is better if you want to knock people around).

There aren't any other class skills that launch a projectile that got a Stamina morph? I'm not criticizing... just asking.

Not spells anymore, but rather stamina feats.
Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!

Just one, Binding Javelin. Which as I said is rarely used by experienced Templars due to its many drawbacks.
