Lately game crashes - a lot. Mostly in Cyrodil, mostly when I activate transit, but not always. Frequently generates an error report which I submit. I haven't changed anything on my system so I wondered if others are having this problem. I've lost out on a lot of AP in Cryo due to inopportune crashes. Its really getting frustrating.

    Maybe some addon updated? Are you running any UI addons? If so, did you try disabling them? In the past I've had at least one addon crashing my game to the desktop (no crash reporter), simply when switching mounts.

    Really appreciate the response ZOS! I will post crash log if it happens again. I found lots of them on my system but not sure which ones would be relevant at this point when maybe the update will fix issue anyway.

    Heya I posted something too. I'm having the same problem the last 2 days. Must have something to do with the update because I had no problems previously.

    I been having the same problems, But today I can't seem to stay on for more then 10-15mins now. I deleted all addons everything is up to date and it seems to be the same if I put the computer on ultra high settings or turn every thing to lowest possible settings.

    Only thing to do now and log off and come back tomorrow and hope it is fixed..........fingers crossed

    Would like to do that but when i click game consultant per the instructions, nothing happens. I know it says it takes a few minutes but it's been 10 and I see no window, nothing happens. Does that tool work on a MAC?

    Tried the above link - it downloads but when i try to open it, I get a message that says the file is damaged and to move it to trash.

    Interesting...In that case, a system profiler report should do!

    To generate a System Profiler report, follow the instructions below:

    •Open a new Finder window
    •Go to Applications, then Utilities and Terminal
    •Type the following
    ◦system_profiler >~/Desktop/Report.txt

    •Wait for the next line to appear in Terminal (This shows the file is finished)
    •Locate the Report.txt on your Desktop

If you wouldn't mind, please give a try to moving your Addons folder to the desktop and let us know if the stability improves at all, for science. If it doesn't help, let us know that too!

    An add-on causes a crash to desktop? How can the Lua interpreter not be sandboxed away from causing such fatal "hard" errors?

    No solid answer for that one personally stefan.gustavsonb16_ESO (can't tag due to the . in the name, sorry :/). That said, we've seen CTDs occur due to add ons in the past, and it likely won't be the last time. We'd just like to rule it out as a possibility.

    Hi Gary - moved the addons folder as instructed and crashed tonight in Cyrodil as usual. One report was generated and I clicked submit but is there something else I need to do????

    Just noticed there are other posts regarding macs crashing in cyrodil that seem to be related to transit - maybe we all have the same issue?

    I crashed so many times today, game is no longer fun. I work so hard with group to take keeps, etc. and lose the AP almost every time due to these crashes. Game is unplayable. Going to put my addons back since it did not help one bit. However, since game is unplayable maybe it doesn't matter.

    Hey there @bugmom,

    Clicking the submit button on the crash report sends it to the appropriate team that can analyse why the crash is occurring and work towards a solution. In the meantime, please give a try to lowering your visual settings and let us know if that helps at all. For instance, if you're on the High preset, try Medium or Low and let us know if it kicks you out less/more/the same amount.
