Enlightenment bonus resets with relogging

Was checking how Enlightenment bonus works and builds up in PTS and found an annoying bug. Seems like your Enlightenment Pool (EP) can reset to zero by logging into another character. This may happen because of the other alt is not a veteran character (needs confirmation).

After the last character copy with 1.6.4 I've noticed that all of my EP had gone after 2 days when checked on my main, despite not doing anything on PTS that gave XP with any of my characters. So I waited a day and did the following little test:
  1. Logged into my v14 NB and checked my current EP with the following command: /script d(GetEnlightenedPool()). It returned 400000, which is the expected daily amount of E. added to your account wide pool. Logged out without any further activity.
  2. Logged into my lvl 12 non-veteran alt. Checked my EP with the same command. As EP is account wide it should have displayed the same 400k as before, but it returned zero. Logged out without any further activity.
  3. Logged into my v14 templar and did the same as above. EP was still zero. Logged out.
  4. Logged back again with my v14 NB and re-checked EP. Zero. Killed a few mobs just to see if it's a UI error but did not gain extra XP towards my next champion point.

Please @ZOS look into this and fix before live as it will cause a lot of disappointment.

Other thing I've noticed, after the last character copy I started with an empty EP and had to wait for a day to get my first bonus points. Not sure if that's intended - it could be related to this issue as I logged in with multiple alts. But please consider giving out (at least) a day worth of bonus when 1.6.x goes live. Many of us waiting for this release eagerly and it would feel quite annoying to "miss out" the first day of the patch because we don't get any EP.

    Also noticed another strange thing. Was checking on my NB to see if I got new EP. It's been more than 24 hours since the last fiasco happened. Logging in and checked my current EP and it was still zero! But standing in the game, after about 5 minutes I've get the "You are enlightened" message and audio. Checked my EP again and it was showing the fresh 400k XP amount to spend as expected.

    But the thing is, it did not happen at midnight or even 24 hours after the last login or any other special time. It happened at 1:20 AM GMT, after standing in the game for about 5 minutes.

    Is this the expected behaviour?

    I sure hope not because that why we wont be able to accumulate 3 days worth of enlightment

    Either way all the bugs with relogging etc should be fixed before this goes live!

    Ok it may not be that bad, but still needs more testing. Any help is appreciated as it can only be checked once a day.

    I've done some more experiments after a day's passed. Wanted to see if it's related to non-veteran characters or something else. Was trying to see if I lose EP just by logging between veteran characters. Luckily I have 6 ( :D ) so I started to move between them. EP was preserved for the first four characters. Then I logged in with one of my rarely used veteran alts which was not logged in since the last character copy. I've got the usual stat/skill reset notification and my EP was gone again.

    Maybe the bug is related to the first login with a character, which is not so bad as long someone goes through all his alts on patch day. Unfortunately I don't have any other alts that was not logged in since Saturday, but I'll try to see tomorrow if EP is preserved or not now.

    This would be a huge fail if the patch launches with this issue.
    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    Interesting findings, though noticed similar behaviour when I was in PTS that the you are enlightened text appeared some time after logged in already. So could it be that it just doesn't check it on login but bit later. Might test this myself too.

    Also if it appears to be true then it would mean one should login the enlightened char first use the enlightment bonus and only then hazzle with mules or so.

    I can confirm this. You lose your enlightement if you use any non-vet char when you still have enlightement.

    So next week when most likely the 1.6 is rumored to hit live, remember to use your enlightment before working with your non-vets.

    Well that sucks Royally.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno this is a critical bug that must be fixed otherwise I expect very many people are going to get screwed-over with losing 'E'.

    What a pain to have to keep track of this, for those of us who have both veteran and non-veteran characters. There goes logging in before work every day to do horse training for everyone and pick up hireling deliveries on my crafters.

    After another round of tests it seems that the actual reset is triggered by the first login of a character after the patch. Today I could log around all my toons without losing the EP, including a non-veteran alt. After several rounds of relogs I've logged into a non-veteran alt which was not used since the latest patch. EP dropped to zero immediately.

    That's definitely not a major incident, but would be nice to get a confirmation that EP won't randomly reset on live apart from this.
