Which heal is best as of now for a Sorcerer?

I don't care as much about any other problems a Sorcerer might have as long as I can stay alive, so tell me what the best of these three healing ability is.
Keep in mind that my sorcerer build is a Magicka build and can easily utilize spell critical.

Dark Conversion
Critical Surge
Resolving Vigor

Please tell me which is best in your opinion and why you think so.

    What?

    Those are probably the most useless heals for a magicka sorc in 1.6 you will find in the game.

    If you need a class heal there is Clannfear, wich is seen very controversial, I wouldn't call it reliable.

    Otherwise use a Resto Staff and Healing Ward.

    Rally.

    Yes, really. Every Sorc I've seen on the PTS is swinging a 2H, now. Rally is cheap and can be spammed when necessary. Also, the the 2H Brawler skill is good for AOE because it gives you a free damage shield that scales up with the # of targets.

    Can you please be serious about this? I'm not changing my build, and I'm not rerolling. It doesn't have to be those heals, it can be any heal that a Magicka-based Sorcerer would have access to. Those 3 just seemed to be the most prominent.

    Healing ward (Resto staff line)... the class heals are basically useless in comparison as they are either long winded & clunky, or just an RNG ride of pot luck & highly situational.

    HW also scales off how much health you have lost so is even more effective when you need it most.

    I also quite like having Mutagen running in the background on nasty fights too... gives a useful 'oh crap' heal if you suddenly get stung without being able to re-shield.

    Thanks, I thought that looked pretty good, I just didn't know if it was viable as a main heal or not. I said I wasn't going to change my build, but i am willing to incorporate resto staff, since it's not that much of a change :P

    A resto staff is pretty much standard for all magicka sorcs.. .your other bar can be a few things, but resto has become a staple due to the lack of decent class heals.

    And don't even get me started on having to slot a pet & then summon & de-summon it just to get a heal! >:)

    When I started I didn't realize how good healing ward was, but it is very good & well worth a slot on the bar.

    You cant just use 1 skill dude, you have to use pretty much every restortation staff skill.

    I'm also assuming you don't know as much, your most useful skills are healing springs and combat prayer.

    Depends entirely what you are doing.

    You can use 1 skill in a lot of situations...

    But yeah... I have 3 when in PvE so I can off heal. (Springs, Mutagen, Healing Ward) Though I only use 2 of those for me.... so if I'm totally solo or in PvP then I drop springs.

    Uh no. Like just, no. The only resto staff skill you need is healing ward. Just use that + hardened ward, don't need any other heal/dmg mitigation. Add in harness magicka if you're feeling insecure.

    If you wanna troll, add cleanse, then half the time you won't even need healing ward.

    The sorcerer doesn't have a self heal that is worth slotting since the Critical Surge nerf. Like every other class you can improve your survivability with Healing Ward + Mutagen from the restro staff.

    I'm talking about PvE, I'm fairly sure this guys thread is about PvE aswell not PvP. If you're actually being serious and using those skills in PvE then I have bad news for you

    PvE you don't run heals as a sorc, that's what you have dedicated healers for. Or are you talking solo content which is mindnumbingly simple?

    Heal for what role? Is it solo or group content? 2 players? 4? 8? 12? 24? PVE or PVP? In group are you mainly a healer or a DPS using heals for support?

    That's true but you're almost certainly weapon swapping to cast Healing Ward anyway. With clanfear heal you can run with another destro staff or sword and board, increasing your utility.

    That's true but you're almost certainly weapon swapping to cast Healing Ward anyway. With clanfear heal you can run with another destro staff or sword and board, increasing your utility.
    Would be nice in 1.5, but in 1.6 as a mag build there's very little point to bother with sword/shield, can't maintain the stam to keep uptime on reflect, and the block bonus it gives just can't offset the stam drain. This combined with the new shield stack 24/7 or die for light armor, and Healing Ward becomes that much more mandatory.

    Also, Healing Ward will save you if you're diseased and don't have time to purge 1st.

    I diluted a good argument with a bad one. Really I just meant another destro staff. I run with destro/resto on live but have been toying with the idea of destro/destro on pts. Weakness to elements and destructive touch are really nice to have, but not on your main bar. Ideally we would have a class based version of crushing shock allowing us to run resto on our main bar.

    You can swap bar's in the middle of the animation, works fine.
    Otherwise cast it, skip animation and recast for heal, nearly instant.

    Anyway, as NB without any good heal I use healing ward only, it's good enough. (compared to Funnel Health..)

    Yeah like I said before, the bug only happens If you intentionally double click the button, if you click and wait half a second it won't cause the bug.

    Course some sorcs still say it's broken and doesn't work. Also nothing is wrong going restro with healing ward on a sorc, but sorcs do have one of the best heals in the game now that cost nothing and doesn't have a cool down, despite their "problems" with it.

    Tried it yesterday, was a pretty good heal at 23k health and 25ish k mana. Cant be spammed as fast as say combat prayer, but heals more per heal.

    Healing ward, but it runs the risk of being sent to another player with lower health then you when you need it the most. So it isn't to dependable unless 1 vs 1.

    Honestly the CD on Surge healing just has to be scrapped. Also Clannfear now heals for max 35% base health? Well it gives me a better reason to use him over kamikaze scamp now.

    I can see it being useful for weapon swaps when your in trouble. 40% seems great for our burst, but with dot crits triggering the damn thing it completely breaks it when using it with specific abilities.

    The class shield Hardened Ward. One cast with full champion points into shield and about 42k Magicka and the shield is roughly 25k per cast worth of health.

    I like the resto staff and I also like long buffs that I can apply before things get going and reapply as needed.
    In Solo PVE find Mutagen to be good. It costs almost nothing and you can have it running most of the time.
    It also is good enough to spam if you really are in trouble running away if you get over your head. The low cost also makes it ok to spam until you get your act together. It also teams up nicely with hardened ward.

    I also use a lot of restoration heavy attacks as fillers hear and there. Getting that magicka back, topping off your health again while damaging the enemy in a lot of situations is sweet, sweet sustain.
